Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Julie Jacobs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Julie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?

I am happy as a business owner. Infact, from the start I just knew I was never going back to a regular job. Like with a boss. About 6 months after I created Julie Jacobs Coaching LLC I really started to panic. I was making consistent money. Just not a ton of it. all of the self-doubt creeped in. Well, there was no creeping. I was full blown freaked out. There is so much info about how to run a coaching business. I have a natural aversion to sales, and I felt I could never really commit to the sales of it all. I come from a place of service, humor and curiosity. I am a Life and Career Coach for women. “I just wanna help women!” was my battle cry. I couldn’t sort out how to package my services or how to present them to women in a real way that didn’t feel salesy. So, there I was, panicked! I did what I know how to do. I talked to women. I talked specifically to female entrepreneurs in my community. Turns out, panicking is not an experience that is unique to only me. That was comforting and I felt like I could catch my breath.

Randomly, at about this same time I got an offer for super part time job that I absolutely knew would be great for me. When I wasn’t feeling the pressure of making sales, I was able to get clear on how to help women. I got more comfortable mentioning my services on my podcast, Goddesses Gather Here and I hired a Marketing Strategist that I liked, knew and trusted. I feel more confident, and I am ready to maybe even start liking sales!

As a Life and Career Coach for Women I use service, humor and curiosity to guide women to confidently live their most beautiful lives. I am a sober human, military spouse, mamacita and a champion of women. After being certified through The Life Purpose Institute in 2013, I have honed my gifts which allows me to provide you a safe place in an inclusive and thorough coaching experience. I am committed to helping women get clear on where they are and where they want to be.
An arm of Julie Jacobs Coaching is creating and publishing my podcast, Goddesses Gather Here. Being a Goddess is a state of mind. You are either a Goddess or a Goddess in Training. It is my absolute honor to provide experiences from my journey. It’s a journey that has been bedazzled with resilience, joy, heart break, sobriety, victories and life altering lessons.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

I am a Military Spouse. To say I have moved many times in the last 20 years is an understatement. I first tried my hand at Entrepreneurship many years ago. As soon as I was official and up and running, we had to move. Everywhere we have lived I have done some form of coaching, but it wasn’t practical for me to start my business over and over. I never gave up on the idea of starting my business, but I just couldn’t see a way to make it work. It wasn’t until we lived in a world where our only connection was virtual. The heart and magic of my business is 1:1 Coaching. With this new norm, In late 2021 I just knew the time was right. I am so glad I never gave up on me!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I am in the process of building my reputation within my market right now. I am growing my community through consistently publishing my podcast Goddesses Gather Here, my social media presence, public speaking and by just being my true self in all my exchanges.
