We recently connected with Julie Goetzinger and have shared our conversation below.
Julie , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission is to help ambitious professionals to find the higher purpose of their life. I landed on this mission as someone who went through multiple losses during Covid including job loss, divorce, financial loss and in the process I lost who I thought I was. It led me on a journey of self-discovery that caused me to go within and to realize that I am not any of these things and that I’m a divine child of God with a purpose because I exist. I help other ambitious professionals to let go of who they think they are and to step into who they really are so they can feel a deeper sense of peace and fulfillment from within.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got into the coaching business during Covid because I could no longer practice in-person photography work. I began coaching other photographers on their money mindset and helped them to think creatively about how they could still earn a living without doing in-person photoshoots. I offer a free support group called, “Finding Purpose After Loss” for people who are searching for their new purpose and identity after going through losses like financial loss, divorce or the loss of a loved one. I offer retreats called, “The Retreat: Where Purpose Meets Prosperity” because once we’ve processed through our losses and start to do the work to rebuild our new sense of self, that’s where our prosperity lies too. The problem I solve for my clients is to stop putting their worth on anything outside of themselves and to start feeling it from within so that they can attract the life they desire with greater ease. What sets me apart from others is that I’m deeply intuitive and can sense blocks in people even before they begin sharing their stories with me. I receive visions for people seeing them living a life of greater purpose and fulfillment and share this with them during their life coaching sessions. I am most proud of taking the time to discover my own purpose which is to help others to find theirs. Now that I know my purpose and mission I feel much more confident about being able to fulfill it.
Have you ever had to pivot?
After Covid hit I had to shut down my in-person photography business. My marriage was coming to an end and I was about to become a single mom with no way to support my kids. I had to get creative and decided to start coaching other photographers to help them come up with other ways to earn a living while we were at home and unable to do the in-person work. I ended up helping them to set up their own coaching businesses using skills they already had and now they’re leading retreats around the world and are feeling more fulfilled too.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I have had to exhibit resilience so many times in my business. When things were going really well financially I went through a heartbreak and betrayal that caused much of my income to go away and I had to get resourceful to continue being able to pay my bills as a single mom. I pivoted multiple times in my business to try to offer something that the market currently wanted but realized that it wasn’t until I did the inner healing work and found my true calling that I became healed and more able to help others to overcome similar losses.
