We recently connected with Juliana Monroy and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Juliana, thanks for joining us today. One deeply underappreciated facet of being an entrepreneur or creative is the kind of crazy stuff that happens from time to time. It could be anything from a disgruntled client attacking an employee or waking up to find out a celebrity gave you a shoutout on TikTok – the sudden, unexpected hits (both positive and negative) make the profession both exhilarating and exhausting. Can you share one of your craziest stories?

Starting this journey as a model/influencer has given me many opportunities and opened doors for my future in this career. The craziest experience I’ve had was being able to be a part of the clothing brand Good American campaign. I was reached out o his tik tok by Good America’s marketing team and they were truly so kind and sent me a whole outfit for me to model and create my own content to show case their clothing line. I did a photoshoot and created Tik Tok videos. I felt beyond blessed to be able to be a part of that campaign, I got to be featured in their page, it was a surreal feeling, definitely something I will always remember.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I have always dreamed about becoming a model. Modeling for me came truly so easy, it makes me feel like this is what I was meant to do. Standing in front of the camera gives me the most euphoric experience, it comes naturally and I feel at my all time best doing what I love. I have been modeling for 2 years now, I started back in December of 2020. Never in a million years did I ever think I would be standing where I am right now. I thankfully was able to grow in my social media platforms and showcase what I do best. I put all my time and dedication to always have clean and well done content to display to my followers creating content and becoming a model have truly changed me for the best, I know that I still have a long ways to go but I know I am in the right path to succeed and excel in the social media world. I am truly blessed to be able to watch my dream become my reality.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

It is really amazing seeing your content that you worked hard for pay off. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing your content go viral and for millions of people to see the videos/pictures that you created. One piece of advice for those starting social media would be always believe in yourself. You are truly your blessing supporter and never give up on yourself. In addition to that, I would also advice to have patience, followers take time, growth takes time, people watching your content takes time, patience is a virtue that you have to find when it comes to wanting to grow in social media platforms. Lastly, always be unique and be yourself, do not compare yourself to others and have fun!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

the most rewarding aspect of being an influencer is seeing how I get to be an inspiration to others. I love knowing that I get to represent and be an example to follow for women who feel like they aren’t represented in the media. I get to inspire others to love themselves, to feel confident and be the voice of those who feel like don’t have one. I feel blessed knowing that my content can reach so many people and have a positive impact and hopefully put a smile in their face.
