Alright, Juliana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?

I feel incredibly blessed to have grown up in a home where my parents not only loved my sister and I unconditionally, but they always believed in us. We grew up knowing we could accomplish anything we set out to do. They always supported our goals and dreams and when we needed anything they were there doing what they could. Growing up with that type of love and support built a level of confidence in myself that has continued throughout my life.

It wasn’t until I got older that I realized this isn’t the way everyone is raised and grew to understand what a huge difference it can make. As a parent to three children, I have always strived to provide the same type of upbringing for them. I want them to always see in themselves what I see in them. I also want them to know that no matter what I am here for them and supporting their dreams.

When looking to start this business my mind was filled with all the reasons I shouldn’t do it. Could this really be successful? Do I have what it takes to start and run a business? Am I smart enough or good enough to make it work? But, I kept coming back to fact that I did believe in myself and that I could do it. That belief in myself was created by my parents.

My dad recently passed away and losing him has created a void in my life that is difficult to put into words. He was always there cheering me on and I miss him terribly. It is because of him, and my mom, I am the person I am today.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I am the founder and owner of Serenity At Home, a home organizing business based in Rochester, Michigan. We partner with our clients to develop a plan to meet their organizing needs. We provide practical and sustainable solutions that meet each client’s unique needs. We work in any and all spaces in a home striving to reduce the stress and chaos often felt by our clients. Our goal is to simplify their lives.

Another main focus of our business is working with clients who are in the process of moving. Our decluttering and purging services before listing help our client’s homes sell faster and increase it’s value on the market. After the sale we offer packing, unpacking and organizing assistance as our client’s look to make their new house a home. We partner with several realtors in our area offering their clients assistance.

We pride ourselves on being more than just organizational consultants. Our team is comprised of skilled and compassionate professional organizers who patiently and confidentially guide our clients through the process of getting decluttered and organized throughout their homes.

Serenity At Home is also the in-home organizing partner with The Container Store in Troy, Michigan. When customers of The Container Store are looking for someone to come into their homes to organize they are referred to us. We are incredibly thankful for this ongoing partnership.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

We embrace three core values at Serenity At Home. We believe that being Confidential, Compassionate and Judgement Free are more important than how we actually organize. Our clients know that they can trust us as we work alongside them transforming their lives. It is this approach that differentiates us from other home organizers.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Our greatest source of new business comes from our existing clients. We are often hired to tackle one space in a home. Many times that one space becomes multiple projects as they see firsthand the benefits of working with us. Those same clients often refer their friends and family to us generating additional business.

We also work to keep our Google business page updated as we do get leads from people searching for home organizers online.
