We recently connected with Julian Smart-Rimple and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Julian thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Since 2019, Smart Jewelz Enterprises (SJE) first began focusing on keynote addresses, corporate trainings, and personal development coaching through serving in high schools, colleges and companies throughout the U.S.A. Our company always envisioned delivering educational content and uplifting speeches and trainings to youth and adult audiences on a global platform. After seeing early success with working in the community and corporate sector, we streamlined our services to highlight 3 core areas: personal development, financial freedom, and health and wellness. Our founder and President, Julian Smart-Rimple, envisioned having an international educational enterprise for young professionals and entrepreneurs to find and cultivate their God-given talents in order to be impactful leaders domestically and abroad. The mantra “we create, you shine” fits into our mission statement of “creating opportunities for clients to shine bright through discovering their unique God-given gifts on a global scale.” All of our services and products are geared towards global transformation and leadership and we plan on traveling the world and planting seeds for our vision to help others shine with their gifts and talents.

Julian , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Julian Smart-Rimple resides in Atlanta, Georgia and is a global ambassador for youth empowerment and education in South Korea, Liberia, Mexico, Trinidad &
Tobago, and across the U.S.A. Since 2006, Julian has been dedicated to personal
development, financial education, and health and wellness. As the host of “Run the
Jewelz” Podcast Show and founder of Smart Jewelz Enterprises, he continues
marketing his speaking, training, and podcasting skills across the U.S.A. and abroad.
Julian facilitates as a keynote speaker and corporate trainer in schools, colleges, and
companies throughout the U.S. This year he plans on using his talents and gifts to
continue delivering educational and uplifting speeches and trainings to youth and
adult audiences on an international platform.

Smart Jewelz Enterprises is an educational consulting agency that teaches clients how to shine in personal development, financial freedom and wellness. We specialize in offering our clients consulting, training, digital content courses in professional development, financial education and health and wellness.

What sets us apart is the diversity of our educational content and coaching programs which come from multicultural coaches, educators and trainers. We host our digital content courses for our Smart Jewelz community with our e-learning Smart Jewelz Institute.

What we are most proud of is that we have rebranded and added more digital, travel and lifestyle content, services and products that include Smart Media Essentials, Smart Jewelz Network, Smart Travel Jewelz, Smart Wellness Jewelz and Smart Financial Jewelz. Smart Media Essentials is our digital marketing and production agency for companies and content creators needed help with livestreaming, technical production and shooting, editing and repurposing digital content. Smart Jewelz Network is our collaborative network for content creators, podcasters and entertainers who are looking to enhance their show and branding messaging while networking with other creators at workshops, summits, online events and international group tours. Smart Travel Jewelz is our travel company that creates curated travel experiences for content creators, young professionals and entrepreneurs who want to learn more about international countries and their cultures while also supporting local artisans and businesses. Smart Wellness Jewelz is our wellness business where we customize wellness boxes and kits based off our customers individual wellness needs. Smart Financial Jewelz is our financial services where we provide debt freedom coaching, customized budgets, online courses and online events for clients seeking financial freedom.

These additional extensions of our SJE brand have allowed us to expand our market to global customers and consumers outside of the USA while also setting up international relationships and foundations. Our next target market will be in Asia and Africa in 2023 where we expect to partner with global brands that support our mission to help others shine bright like the jewels they were created to be.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

I’ve had to pivot into working for myself full-time in August of 2019 when my position as a training specialist ended with Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. Although, I was already making provisions to work full-time as an educational consultant during 2019, I was literally thrust into that plan quickly. Thankfully I received severance pay and was able to collect unemployment while building up more clientele to coach and consult, this situation taught me an invaluable lesson. And that is, when you stay ready you don’t have to get ready! Because I stayed ready saving up my emergency fund of 3-6 months and had other side-hustles and investments already, it wasn’t as heavy of a pivot into becoming self-employed. I started off with 1-2 coaching clients that paid me monthly for their coaching sessions and that grew to a total of 7 consistent clients in 2019-2020.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

The books that changed my overall trajectory in life was “The Richest Man in Babylon” by George Clason, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki and “Complete Guide to Money” by Dave Ramsey. All of these books are jewels that have propelled me along my journey towards financial freedom and being an international, transformational leader.
