We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Julia Evans a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Julia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always been a people person. I love making folks smile, hearing their stories, and finding ways to show up for them—even in small, beautiful ways. Flowers became that “small thing” for me that made a big impact. I’d arrange bouquets just because I wanted someone to feel special or seen. No holiday, no big event—just love. That turned into a pattern, and over time, I realized… maybe this wasn’t just a hobby. Maybe this was ministry in motion.
The idea for Lavish Blooms came during a time when I was walking through my own brokenness—a season that felt unclear but deeply necessary. I was clinging to my faith, trusting that God had more for me even when I couldn’t fully see it. And one day, as I was arranging flowers at my table, I had this undeniable peace wash over me. I thought, What if I built something that not only gave beauty, but glorified God in the process? That was my turning point.
I didn’t just want to sell flowers—I wanted to craft experiences that brought joy, comfort, and celebration. I knew this could work because I didn’t see many businesses combining luxury, personal craftsmanship, and true heart. Lavish Blooms became my way of filling that gap. I wasn’t just solving a surface-level problem—I was creating space for love to bloom, literally and spiritually.
What makes this journey so special is that it’s deeply personal. My faith is in every bouquet, every customer interaction, every carefully tied ribbon. I pray over my work. I laugh and cry with my clients. I show up fully—because this business isn’t just mine, it’s God’s.
Lavish Blooms is proof that something beautiful can grow even from the broken pieces. And that, to me, is what makes it all worth it.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi there, Im Jules! I’m the heart and hands behind Lavish Blooms, a faith-driven floral brand where luxury and love unite. (our brand tag line). I’m someone who has always been drawn to people—learning their stories, celebrating their moments, and making them feel truly seen. That’s just who I am at the core, ask anyone! I believe in being intentional, leading with kindness, and letting both beauty and purpose bloom in everything I do.
I didn’t set out to become a florist in the “traditional” sense. My journey into this industry started with a deep love for people, my faith in God, and a passion for creating joy in the smallest ways. Arranging flowers was something I used to do naturally, after a long week, for a loved one’s birthday, or to bring a little peace into my own space. Over time, I realized those little moments of creativity weren’t random. They were nudges toward something greater.
Truthfully, Lavish Blooms was birthed out of one of the hardest seasons of my life. In my mid-20s, I walked through what felt like the most painful and confusing chapter—a time when I felt broken, unsure of who I was, and empty in ways I couldn’t always explain. But God, in His faithfulness, met me right there. He gave me a creative outlet—flowers—that became a form of peace when everything else felt heavy. Even when I didn’t feel like I had love to give to myself, He gave me enough to pour into others through this gift. That act of creating, of loving others through beauty, slowly began to heal parts of me I didn’t know needed healing. What started as peace became purpose—and eventually, a full-blown business built on love, faith, and divine timing.
Lavish Blooms officially blossomed when I decided to take a leap of faith during that very season. I wanted to build something that was rooted in love, grounded in excellence, and filled with intentionality. My goal was never to just sell flowers—I wanted to help people feel something through them. Whether it’s joy, healing, celebration, or comfort, every arrangement I create is personal, prayerful, and powerful in its own way.
So, what do I offer?
Lavish Blooms provides luxury floral arrangements for all occasions—birthdays, holidays, events, “just because” moments, and more. We offer curated packages, floral deliveries, consultations, pickups, and seasonal designs that go beyond your typical bouquet. We’re also expanding into flower subscriptions, kids’ DIY floral kits with a twist, and floral rentals for events (think: flower walls, custom centerpieces, and a flower cart). Every product and service is created with care and a touch of faith—because I believe beauty and meaning should always go hand in hand.
What sets Lavish Blooms apart is the experience. It’s not just about a beautiful product—it’s how you feel when you receive it. We focus on exceptional customer service, personal touches, luxurious packaging, and handcrafted floral design that tells a story. Clients often tell me they can feel the difference—and that’s because I don’t take this work lightly. It’s ministry. It’s art. It’s love, blooming in real time.
I’m most proud of the fact that this business is a reflection of my heart and my walk with God. I’ve seen Him show up in the most beautiful ways—opening doors, connecting me with amazing clients, and allowing me to use my gifts to serve others. I’m proud that Lavish Blooms is not only growing, but growing with integrity, creativity, and community at its core.
For anyone reading this—whether you’re a potential client, a fellow creative, or someone just starting out—I want you to know that Lavish Blooms is more than a brand. It’s a reminder that beauty has a place in every season of life, and love deserves to be celebrated, lavishly.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Honestly, the most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been leading with authenticity and intention. Word-of-mouth referrals have been such a blessing—when someone has a genuinely meaningful experience with Lavish Blooms, they naturally want to share it. And I don’t take that lightly. Every bouquet, every message, every delivery is crafted with love, care, and attention to detail. That energy leaves an impression.
Social media has also played a big role, especially platforms like Instagram and Tiktok. I focus on storytelling through visuals—showing the process, the behind-the-scenes, and the heart behind each creation. It helps people connect with more than just the product; they connect with me and the mission. I’ve found that consistency, quality content, and community engagement make a huge difference.
I also offer special promotions for first-time customers, collaborate with other local businesses, and always go the extra mile in customer service—because people remember how you made them feel. And in a world where everything moves so fast, creating something personal and intentional stands out.
At the end of the day, it’s not just about selling flowers—it’s about building trust, making people smile, and creating memorable experiences they’ll want to come back to.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments of resilience in my journey came during what I can only describe as the hardest season of my mid-20s. Everything in my life felt like it was unraveling—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I was trying to hold myself together while silently falling apart. There were so many days I didn’t feel strong. So many nights I cried out to God—more times than I could count. Not with full surrender, but with desperation. I wasn’t in a place where I could say, “God, have it all,” but I kept begging, “God, help me.”
And here’s the thing: sometimes, God doesn’t answer right when you want Him to. Because it’s not about your timing—it’s about His. And looking back, I see now that even in the silence, He was working. He didn’t rescue me on the spot, but He gave me something I didn’t know I needed—a creative outlet that brought peace in the middle of my chaos.
Floristry became that outlet. Not as a business idea at first, but as something that reminded me I was still capable of creating beauty—even when I didn’t feel beautiful inside. It was quiet healing. Arranging flowers became my way of breathing again. It gave me something to focus on, something to nurture, and eventually, something to build.
Lavish Blooms didn’t come from a place of certainty or confidence—it came from surrender in the making. From brokenness, doubt, and a God who still chose to use me. My resilience showed up in the quiet, in the moments where I kept going even when I didn’t feel qualified or worthy. I didn’t have all the answers. But I had faith, even if it was as small as a mustard seed—and that was enough.
Now, every bouquet I create carries a piece of that story. A reminder that beauty can still rise out of broken places, and that sometimes, the very thing you cried for becomes the gift you give to others.
