We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Judy Griffin PhD. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Judy below.
Judy , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?
The most innovative action of my career is taking AromaHealth essence blends into hospitals and clinics to prove their efficiency. The nose is the only extension of the brain. It can be successfully used to demonstrate the healing quality of aromas. Our handmade blends are light and lift quickly. The client experiences calmness, less nausea or pain, or tension in the body in a few seconds. Grief, sadness and loss, a different type of pain, becomes more tolerable, as the mind begins to focus on a beautiful scent. The past 22 years I focused on cancer patients, transplant surgeries, cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases. Participation was voluntary, sometimes including loved ones who enjoy light scents. The results included better breathing, balanced blood pressure, reduced tension, anxiety, pain, nausea, faster recuperation from treatment. and more positive thoughts for hundreds of people.
I made lotions to reduce pain and lymphadema. Simple creams helped reduce and heal bed sores and other problems skin issues. Aromas circulate through the skin to heal also.
Many of the blends brought back pleasant memories and feelings of good times.
If AromaHealth can encourage healing with serious ill people, they can affect all of positively. when prepared properly, they are safe and without side effects.
We organically grow and distill our essences and essential oils onsite with constant supervision and quality control. Making lives healthier and more enjoyable is our goal.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Forty eight years ago, I gave birth to twins with immune deficiencies. They looked normal, but were not expected to live through the 105 degree fevers, allergies and multiple infections. The pediatrician told me to stop worrying and go home and do what I know will help. I could cook and grow plants. I grew many aromatic plants for family cooking recipes and pleasure. My Mother loved scent. My Dad grew roses for her. I took it a step farther and created topical healing remedies for the twins skin, which bled constantly and hand made all their foods. Soon, I was also producing clean scents to clear the air from virus and bacteria on surface areas. I expanded my skills over time by learning remedies and recipes from healers from many cultures.. My concept about health and healing changed dramatically, as the twins grew healthier each year.
Our next child had 50% hearing loss by two years old. The audiologist told me the nerve damage was permanent.
I made some simple remedies to wear near the ears, but not in them. In three weeks, the audiologist rechecked his hearing and it was 100% correct.
Shortly after this, I attracted people seeking more natural ways to improve their health. I received a PhD. in nutritional science and began working in hospitals and clinics, which eventually included European, North and South American countries. I work on the body’s ability to heal itself. I don’t judge how difficult the illness is.
Over time, we developed about 500 simple products available online products to assist in our greatest health and productivity. They include children and pet products.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I funded my business by coordinating other related jobs. For example, I did private nutritional counseling to fund AromaHealth products. I did hundreds of local and international speeches to educate and inform people about our business over many years. I taught gardening classes to teach organics and herbal health benefits. I taught adult classes at UTA and TCU, including Around the World with Herbs. I taught at garden clubs, always meeting the most wonderful people. I continue to write books: Mother Nature’s Herbal, Flowers that Heal, The Healing Flowers, Romancing the Rose and soon to be released , The Antique Rose Collection. I also travelled and taught Healing from the Heart complimentary healing classes. The focus always took us back to ourselves and then to others to encourage better health. Private consultations were especially helpful to pay for items needed in the business, especially when I travelled to New York City. To save money, I grew many plants from cuttings. My sons and daughter helped with gardening and distilling. My youngest son, Jason, created all the labels for products, help create the website, since 1999 and does all the IT work. He will eventually take over the business. He began making essences when he was 6 years old. He understands how to take one step at a time with marketing and utilize the money available to expand.
Many years ago, my Dad complained that I ran my business like a housewife. And we’re still here 44 years later. I have a list of items to buy for the business as the money comes in. I only use advertisement that I can pay in full. I budget the business like a household and it works for me. I had kids to raise without child support. I could not allow the business to get into debt.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective way to grow clientele is by word of mouth. Every call, order on the internet and personal client has been a referral. Several years ago, B.C. Video also made a documentary which included my work with clients and hospitals, called The Healing Power of Flowers. It played on many television channels and attracted many new clients and orders for the business. One day the phone and website exploded with requests. The way B.C. Video produced the film created a personal atmosphere that helped people relate to my work and gardens. I also have been a guest on hundreds of radio shows and had my own radio program over the years to reach an audience with like minds. People understand my knowledge, experience and trust my judgement.
We have also used social media without great success. They work well for many businesses but we prefer the web site and a personal approach. We have a few lectures on YouTube for folks to enjoy also.
Our products are international with distributors of like mind.

I love Judy Griffin. She is a good friend and her products have helped me with various physical and emotional problems. I am also a nutritionist and assist others in natural healing, but when I have a question or need a more learned opinion, I call Judy. I recommend her highly,
