Judith , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)

I believe that the best advice i am able to provide to ALL my clients is that patience is key. When it comes to skincare, there is no exact timeline or one size fits all, therefore sometimes during eras in our lives we get so impatient for results that when we dont see results, we are more likely to quit. I always have to remind my dear clients especially struggling with acne that it always gets worse before it gets better. In result to listening to this advice and sticking through treatments and confiding in me, we are able to achieve results due to their consistency with their treatments and their homecare regimen.

Judith , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I would love to tell you about myself, I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and i will be 27 on April 11th, which makes me an Aries. We are natural born leaders, passionate and very headstrong. I am Salvadorian and Honduran, love animals and everything skincare. Which is why i decided to start a business in the skincare industry and it has been one of my greatest achievement. When i was younger and didn’t even know what the word Esthetician was, i would gather up my whole family to do DIY skincare masks on them, little did i know i would be making a living out of doing the same thing.. except the DIY part (professional products are the way to go). At Hydro Esthetics we are able to provide corrective treatments with some of the best known companies and are able to help a multitude of concern ranging from pigmentation, to aging to acne. One of the best things i have done is certify myself with the #1 Acne Fighting line known as Face Reality to help anyone struggling with acne wether it is in clinic or virtually. We also provide professional treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling and much more. Nothing makes me more content than transforming someones skin and with that being said, their lives. So much of our happiness revolves around the way we view ourselves and if i can help someone feel better about themselves in any way i can, that feeling is undescribable.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?

A hundred time yes however if there is one thing i would change was the fact that i was being a jack of all trades. I was providing body waxes and eyebrow services as well, and instead of niching down and specializing in facials i was diving my education and investments into everything. When you’re able to dedicate yourself to one specialty you are more knowledgable in that department, you’re able to invest more into that ONE craft AND you are able to offer more credibility.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

Being yourself and building a community and aside from that, having compassion! Another thing that has helped me the most has been building genuine relationships with my clients. They know that they can text me anytime to ask me about any questions they have and that they can vent to me about anything. As well as having a community and having role models you look up to has been a big thing as well, there are so many other estheticians that are always willing to help me in any questions i have and i think its important to be that as well for others who look up to you, there is definetly room for everyone to thrive.
