My journey into the media industry began unexpectedly during my time studying music production in school. By sheer chance, I enrolled in a media class where I discovered a passion for television production. One fateful day, I visited the local TV station to perform on a show, and during my visit, I inquired about internship opportunities. Little did I know, that simple inquiry would shape my career trajectory. From that moment on, I immersed myself in every aspect of media production, learning the ropes, honing my skills, and eventually carving out a niche for myself. What started as a spontaneous decision to explore a new avenue quickly evolved into a fulfilling career in media, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to create meaningful content.

Many doubted that I could make it happen, citing the high costs and the supposed impossibility of my vision. Despite the skepticism and lack of faith from others, I’ve persevered for over a year now. What kept me going was my unwavering self-belief and the unwavering support of my husband, who never stopped believing in me. My goal was to create a channel that would be accessible and cost-effective, providing a platform for those who lacked the resources to air their content on mainstream TV stations. This vision stemmed from a desire to solve the challenges faced by many aspiring creators, ensuring that everyone had a chance to share their stories and talents without financial barriers. As I continue on this journey, I remain committed to this mission, proving that with determination and belief, even the most daunting obstacles can be overcome.

One of my greatest sources of pride is the unwavering determination I’ve shown in chasing my dreams. Through all the challenges and tough times, I refused to give up. When I embarked on the journey of starting my Roku channel, I faced a daunting reality: no income and a recently quit job just two days prior. It was a leap of faith fueled by my passion and vision. In those early days, my husband became my rock, supporting me in every way possible. He funded the purchase of essential production equipment and covered the setup fees for the channel. His belief in my dream was unwavering, and his support was crucial as I navigated the challenges of launching a new venture from scratch. His investment wasn’t just financial; it was a testament to our shared commitment to seeing this endeavor through. His generosity and encouragement gave me the foundation to push forward, turning my aspirations into tangible progress. Together, we turned obstacles into opportunities, laying the groundwork for what has become a rewarding journey of creativity and determination.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

Starting my business taught me a valuable lesson in unlearning expectations. Initially, I believed that launching meant immediate financial success—clients lining up, business loans securing funding—but reality hit hard. The anticipated influx of income didn’t materialize, and I faced the harsh truth that profitability takes time. Frustration crept in, and thoughts of giving up loomed large. Their encouragement revitalized my resolve, shifting my focus from short-term gains to long-term sustainability.
