We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Juan Regalado a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Juan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
The moment I was in elementary school I knew I wanted to pursue art as a career in life.
Juan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am from the Canary Islands Spain and moved to the US 18 years ago. I love art and creating art. My main focus is creating abstract and figurative pieces of art. I am always looking to get people’s attention through my work, and hopefully people would reflect on the meaning of what I want to share.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect to me is when my work draws someone’s attention and interest. I feel that after the creation of art the curiosity and wanting to know more about my art is very important to me and makes me eager to create more.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal in this journey is to try and contribute to today’s society with my art and help bringing harmony even though we are all different,
