We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Juan Labra a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Juan, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents have been my best supporters they are originally from Mexico and came to America for a better life and that is also what they have provided for me. My mom and dad always made sure I was on top of my academics and also put me in a charter school so make sure I am getting a great education. Once it came down to college my parents were all in to support me through it and my parents actually wanted me to be an architect but my passion is art and my counselor in high school convinced me to major in Graphic Design at Texas Tech University. After graduation my dad was very motivated to help me start my own business and push me to want more in life. Now where I am standing my parents still motivate to strive for more in life !

Going to Graphic design school and my passion for art brought me to a point where designing logos and mockups for clients wasn’t enough. I wanted to bring their brands to life so we jumped into the custom apparel industry.
We stand out as NewGen since we’re a new generational wave which combines new trends, new technology, and access to the public through a wide range of platforms on social media.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Post what you want your clients to see , post what you want to do more off and be consistent.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Mine would be social media 70% of the time and word of mouth are the primary form of advertisement and the third one would be our storefront location since we are located on a busy street.
