Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to JT Cinco. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, JT thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked so far would have to be my last EP “Top Five”. The reason why this project is special to me is mainly because of the time frame it took for me to complete it and the things I was going through in life at the moment. I was coming off of a vacation in Jamaica and I felt very inspired about the things I had accomplished in life. Although I had motivation to write songs it was hard balancing being a stylist and going to the studio. Weeks would go by and I wouldn’t be in the studio, which delayed my release date for the project. Then one day I told myself “it’s now or never” and I got really disciplined with my time management. I locked in with my producer Wisebeats and everything just flowed perfectly now people tell us everyday how much they really like the project.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
In 2019 I started making music I released my first track titled “What Happened” that year and it ended up going viral on social media like Tiktok and Instagram. This is how my career started and my friends gave me all the support to keep going. Music was something that came to me very easy and I guess looking at my family history its not surprising. My grandfather owned a record store, my brother is a DJ, and I have plenty of other family members that are artist and producers. Starting this musical journey of becoming an artist definitely has its ups and downs I will say the accolades I collect on the way is what keeps me going. So far my music has been used in the NBA promos, Overtime sports arenas, and now on my local radio station! I didn’t know all of this would happen so soon but I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me.
Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
NFTs are great I bought a couple some years ago and made some money off of them. Im really interested in the cryptocurrency and the metaverse stuff so I studied a lot of that stuff and it has a some great aspects about it. I love the concept of it and I think if you give it some time more people will be buying and using them more often.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding thing I would say about being an artist is you have the ability to create and inspire others. I think that’s the beauty of art and life, I can create something today that might help another person to be motivated or even inspired to be better than myself. More people should wake up and ask themselves “how can I inspire the next person”. Hearing people say they love my songs means a lot and once I create a classic that could be played for years would be the most rewarding.
