We were lucky to catch up with Joza Ink recently and have shared our conversation below.
Joza, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me is giving me trust. This trust has come from many places—my family, my clients, and all those who have supported my journey as an artist. My mother, father, and sister have been my pillars from the beginning, offering love and encouragement that allowed me to continue expressing myself through my art. I feel deeply blessed and grateful to have them by my side.
Equally important are the people who have trusted me with their skin and bought my artwork. Every tattoo, every piece of art is a reflection of that trust, a shared creation that carries a piece of both the client and me. It’s not just about the art; it’s about the connection, the bond that forms through the creative process. I can’t fully express my gratitude in words, but I hope that my work speaks for itself. My tattoos and art are my way of saying thank you, of expressing the deep feelings that words often fail to capture.
To everyone who has supported me, trusted me, and allowed me to grow as an artist and a person—I owe everything to you. Thank you.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve been tattooing full-time since 2011, and my journey has taken me around the world, working in various countries and absorbing diverse cultures. My work isn’t just about ink on skin—it’s about creating a unique piece of art that tells a story. I view the body as a living canvas, and each tattoo is a collaboration between me and my clients. I take their ideas and blend them with my artistic identity, resulting in tattoos that are dynamic, abstract, and full of life.
What sets me apart is my commitment to creating timeless art that evolves with the person wearing it. I don’t follow trends; instead, I focus on making each piece a true reflection of both the client’s vision and my own creative voice. My inspiration comes from constant movement—traveling keeps my art fresh and my mind open. Whether it’s the vibrant colors or the abstract designs, my goal is to create tattoos that resonate deeply and grow more meaningful over time.
I’m proud of the trust my clients place in me. My motto is, “Give me trust, give you scratch.” It’s about building a connection, respecting the process, and creating something extraordinary together. My work is not just about the finished tattoo but about the journey we take to get there. This is what drives me every day—to push the boundaries of what’s possible in tattoo art and to ensure that each tattoo is as unique as the person who wears it.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission as a tattoo artist is to create deeply personal and transformative art that connects with people on a profound level. Over the past 13 years, including 7 years of traveling globally, I’ve learned that tattooing is more than just an art form—it’s a way to forge meaningful connections.
Each tattoo I create is a collaboration. I strive to build a trusting relationship with my clients, turning their stories and ideas into unique, lasting art. My motto, “Give me trust, give you scratch,” reflects this collaborative spirit. It’s about combining our visions to create something truly special.
Through my work, I aim to evoke emotions, bridge cultures, and celebrate the rich diversity of human experience. Tattooing is my way of exploring and expressing the world, one design at a time.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Early in my career, I was deeply immersed in painting and exploring traditional art forms. However, there was a pivotal moment when I realized that my love for creating art could be more than just a solitary experience—it could be shared and lived on the skin. This realization led me to pivot towards tattooing, where I saw the body as a dynamic canvas.
This shift wasn’t just about changing mediums; it was about embracing the idea of collaboration. A tattoo moves, ages, and becomes part of someone’s life story. It was a challenge to translate my abstract and vibrant designs onto living, breathing skin, but it also opened up a new world of artistic expression.
This pivot taught me the importance of adaptability and the power of human connection in art. By stepping into tattooing, I found a way to merge my passion for painting with the profound impact of personal interaction, creating art that is both intimate and lasting.
