Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Joslyn Gebby. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Joslyn thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
A career a nurse in the emergency room is very stressful, but also rewarding. I learn something new everyday. The emergency room is a busy place full of urgency. I’m exhausted by the end of the shift, but I’m thankful when I was able to help someone and their family during these scary moments. We only have one life and our health is not to be taken for granted.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a emergency room nurse full time and model part time. My goal is to work part time in the emergency room and model full time and get into the creative industry more.
Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
Honestly, I love the emergency room but it’s very stressful. If I could go back I would of started as a psych NP and did tele health. Also, I would of worked a little harder and built more following on my social media. But, between working full time, have a social life, and building a social media it gets exhausting.
Let’s talk M&A – we’d love to hear your about your experience with buying businesses.
I didn’t necessarily buy a business. But, me and my business partner bough a home and fixed it up. The house is currently on the market. Hopefully, it sells soon and we can start our next project. The experience of watching a ugly hole turn into something beautiful was so much fun! We want to build our real estate portfolio and we are just getting started !
