We were lucky to catch up with Josie Mittleman recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Josie, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about your team building process? How did you recruit and train your team and knowing what you know now would you have done anything differently?
We are so excited to talk about about the growth and evolution of our company, Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty! When we started the company, Jeremy and I filled every single role. Jeremy worked as our outside sales associate (OSA), otherwise known as a Realtor, while I worked as our inside sales associate (ISA), otherwise known as our caller. Of course, there were many other roles for us to fulfill but trying to fit them in was very difficult.
Once we were able to generate some revenue, we were at the point where we could hire our first team member. Jose was the first person who was added to our team. His primary responsibility is to implement the marketing strategies from our coaching program. With the addition of Jose as the Virtual Assistant Manager, we were able to enhance our marketing efforts and establish an online presence, which is crucial in today’s digital age.
Our next hire was Len who would take over my role as Inside Sales Associate. Hiring Len definitely strengthened our sales team. Her focus on contacting customers and setting up appointments for potential clients who were ready to make a move within the next few months helped and continues to help drive our business, Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty, forward.
As Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty continued to grow, we expanded our sales team to include nine outside sales agents, four virtual assistants, and two inside sales agents. This expansion allowed for more coverage and support to meet the needs of our growing customer base.
Additionally, Jeremy and I were now able to take on leadership roles within the company. Jeremy’s transition to Sales Manager demonstrates his ability to guide and manage the sales team effectively, while I have assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer and Marketing Director, indicating my focus on leveraging technology for Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty’s success.
Overall, Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty has made significant strides in terms of team expansion and organizational structure. This growth bodes well for the future as we continue to adapt and meet the demands of our customers in an ever-changing business landscape.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
Several years ago, Jeremy and I found ourselves on a quest for love after both experiencing the end of previous marriages. In our search for a partner, we turned to the digital realm, hoping that the wonders of technology would guide us to our soulmates. It was on the vast landscape of Match.com that our paths would finally intertwine.
On a fateful day, as I sat comfortably at home, sipping my coffee and browsing the internet, disaster struck. In a moment of clumsiness, I accidentally spilled my steaming beverage all over my beloved MacBook Pro. Panic set in as I realized the extent of the damage. With tears streaming down my face, I hastily made my way to the Apple Store, still wearing my cozy pajamas.
In the midst of my despair, the unexpected happened. As I stood amidst the bustling crowd of the Apple Store, my phone rang, and it was Jeremy on the other end of the line. He, too, was seeking solace in the digital world, and he bravely asked me if I’d like to join him for dinner. Overwhelmed with emotions, I responded honestly, explaining my current state of disarray. To my surprise, Jeremy seemed unfazed by my tear-stained pajamas and reassured me that he didn’t mind at all.
We agreed to meet for dinner, and despite my initial self-consciousness, Jeremy greeted me with a warm smile, completely oblivious to my disheveled appearance. As we sat down and engaged in conversation, he began to open up about his deep love and admiration for his father. It was in that very moment, as I listened to his heartfelt words, that something clicked within me. I realized that Jeremy possessed qualities I had longed for in a partner—compassion, sincerity, and a strong connection to family.
However, it took Jeremy a bit longer to fully realize that I was the missing piece in his life’s puzzle. As time passed, our bond grew stronger, and we embarked on a journey together. Four years have now flown by, and our relationship has flourished beyond our wildest dreams. We not only share a home, but we have also blended our beautiful families and friends, creating a tight-knit community of love and support.
In addition to our personal journey, we discovered a shared passion for real estate. This common ground inspired us to establish Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty. Together, we have built a business that aims to provide exceptional service to home buyers and sellers. Our goal is to help people find their dream homes and navigate the complexities of the real estate market with confidence.
And so, dear friends, this is the tale of how Jeremy and I found love in the digital world. It serves as a reminder that sometimes, unexpected mishaps can lead to extraordinary beginnings. How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Once upon a time, in the bustling world of education technology, I found myself at a crossroads. Having just left a company in that industry, I was seeking a new project to sink my teeth into. Little did I know, destiny had something extraordinary in store for me.
It was during this transitional phase that I crossed paths with Jeremy. He was a man overwhelmed by the demands of his real estate business. His phone seemed to ring incessantly, leaving him with no respite. Intrigued by his plight, I approached him with an offer that would change both our lives forever.
“I couldn’t help but notice the chaos you’re dealing with,” I said, extending a helping hand. “I have experience in the real estate world, and I’d be more than willing to lend a hand.”
Jeremy was taken aback by my offer. He couldn’t believe someone would willingly step in to alleviate his burden. After a brief moment of disbelief, he eagerly accepted my proposition. With my past real estate license, it didn’t take long for me to reinstate it and dive headfirst into the dynamic world of property buying and selling.
Jeremy already had a small team in place, and together, we set out to manage and streamline his real estate operations. Little did we know that our journey would be greatly impacted by an unforeseen turn of events in the form of the global pandemic.
In 2020, the world was shaken by the arrival of the COVID-19 virus. The real estate market faced unprecedented challenges as people were unable to leave their homes. Undeterred, Jeremy and I brainstormed relentlessly to devise a plan that would enable us to continue serving our customers in this new reality.
We quickly adapted to the changing landscape, leveraging technology and innovative strategies to facilitate home sales and purchases remotely. Surprisingly, against all odds, this tumultuous year turned out to be one of our best in business. Our dedication to finding creative solutions and putting our customers’ needs first set us apart in the industry.
Then, in January 2021, Jeremy introduced me to the Craig Proctor coaching system—an influential resource in the real estate world. The head coach, Todd Walters, shared his inspiring vision of “Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty.” It was a moment of revelation. I knew deep within my heart that this path had our names written all over it.
Fueled by our newfound inspiration, Jeremy and I embarked on a months-long journey of growth and personal development. In May 2022, I achieved a significant milestone—I obtained my Florida broker’s license. This achievement opened doors for us, and in August 2022, we proudly inaugurated “Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty: The Florida Team.”
With our dream finally realized, we now had a thriving business and an entire team dedicated to serving the diverse needs of our valued customers. Together, we provide exceptional real estate services, bringing the dream of homeownership to countless individuals and families in Florida.
