We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Joshua Willoughby a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Joshua , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

The right mindset, faith in god, and being able to accept humility and failure.

Hi I’m JoshShotYa. I’ve always loved photography since I was a kid. It was the one way I could express myself. Truly is something I love. I mainly shoot portraits but my style is so flexible that I do it all. I like to make everyone I work with feel welcome and have fun with laughs. And just make an enjoyable experience and create something dope.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Word of mouth honestly. People recommend me and it brings in new clients for me. And obviously having the work to back it up.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

Consistency. Simple as that. Being consistent and pushing myself to be better.
