Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Joshua Lewis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Joshua, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I learned by doing constant research and surrounding myself with likeminded people. Not only do I have my family and close folks in my corner rooting for me. I believe creating action, disciplining yourself, and focusing on your goals you’re capable of achieving anything. I do not think my progress and what I’ve learnt could be sped up. I am right where I am supposed to be. I am not in a rush for my presence to be felt in the entertainment industry. I know God has that all mapped for me, and I am willing to walk this journey until that door is opened for me. The guidance of my mentors and those I can call friends in the entertainment industry have shown me being who I am. Staying focused and ignoring those that do not have your best interest at heart stay clear of them. The skills I’ve gained is the charisma and annihilating self-doubt to continue my journey in networking in this business. My businesses you can say are my obstacles. I am in the work of maintaining the hype of my clothing brand that finally has taken notice. Uffizi Fountain™ nourishes a collective of ideas made to create organic pieces of streetwear designed to inspire, empower, and express. At the core of our work is the belief that fashion offers each of us the unique opportunity to express ourselves fully without ever saying a word. We focus on creating premium clothing that embraces sustainability and protects the natural resources around us. Sometimes I have to remind myself why I started acting and keep pressing forward.

Joshua, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Those of you don’t know me. I am Joshua Lewis born in Alexandria, Louisiana and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. I own a few successful businesses that keeps me on my toes and busy most of the time. I am a former Arena football player and I decided to pursue my acting career. I spend most of my days strategizing new ways to advance my businesses, being with my family and working on my craft for auditions.
I saw acting and art a way to live forever through your works. We are capable of living our dreams and speak things into existence as long as we are disciplined to do the work needed to achieve it. I’ve been constantly going back and forth to Atlanta to better my network in the film and television industry. Currently I’m in a process of preparing for a few auditions this year. Being a former athlete, I have high expectations for myself, but being rejected in this industry is common and you just have to keep pushing and studying the craft and getting better. I am looking forward to this year in future projects in Atlanta and other cities I may gain the opportunity to work in. I aim to get an agent this year to gain even more work and getting my name out there to work on bigger projects. Lastly, I hope to reach my goals I have set for myself in this industry this year.
Let’s talk business! Lou. Productions is a social media marketing, consulting, and graphic design business. The year 2022 was our best year yet assisting over 1900 clients with either marketing or graphic needs. Uffizi Fountain™ is my clothing brand that began in the hospital in 2020 and I have some new pieces dropping soon that I just finally understood my brands presence and the direction I am trying to go in. If you’re looking for a one stop shop, I am your guy!
How did you build your audience on social media?
Believing in yourself by taking the risks that come with going after your passions. Stand out from the crowd and stop caring what others think about you. Those insecurities of others will create a lack of motivation and cause you to lose your vision. Remove those folks immediately! Surround yourself with likeminded people and continue to network with them and ask the questions you need to get where you need to go. I have marketed myself on social media and have had others pass my name to others in need of either my services or connect me with their directors for an audition. Create content that goes along with your niche and put some time in posting getting others to follow you by having similar feels or just liking your content where they want to follow your journey.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
My opinion on that is recognizing artists/ creators by being more supportive. I understand to gain the support from others we must show our skill set to gain the respect and truly have that work to back the listener/viewer in why we deserve to be supported. Most complain about just gaining the views but look at the positive you’ve accomplished which is having those view/listen to you. Time to change the mindset and stay positive.
