Alright, Joshua thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you’re open to it, can you talk to us about the best (or worst) investment you’ve made. What’s the backstory and the relevant context behind why you made the investment

The most important investment I made was in myself. I invested my time and money into myself and not into other people’s vision. Building my own knowledge. However the sexiest investment I’ve ever made was in a company called GameStop.

Joshua, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

BoxCrush Promotions LLC was founded on the premise of not just thinking outside of the proverbial box but destroying boxes all together. One of the ways we are doing that is by crushing the boxes used as barriers between celebrities and their fans. Whether it is through a fan owning a signature or rare piece of that artist’s memorabilia, meeting that artist at one of our in person meet and greet events or getting to know their story on a more intimate level through our documentary filmmaking, we crush boxes every day to bring the fan and the celebrity closer together.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

Some lessons I had to unlearn were people pleasing and caring what other people thought of me.

I was a part of a team of filmmakers and my ideas were constantly ignored and overlooked. One day another filmmaker told me I couldn’t think outside the box like he could and I told him I would turn his box over and step on it. On that day Box Crush was born.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

My reputation within the field was built on not taking crap from the rest of the people within it. I am not afraid to call out the wrongs and b.s. I see within the industry.
