Joshua, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

My mission is to educate, develop, and create opportunities for our professional clients, as well as other aspiring talents & creatives alike. Using years of resources for my clients and partners that I work closely with, we help to expand our clients brands, services, and products! We rely on major target marketing, grass roots marketing, and gorilla promotions, along with years of experience and relationships to garnish attention for our clients.

I am an entrepreneur, radio personality, event promoter, culture influencer, and music industry professional in Charlotte NC. I am the owner of Tiger Eye Management Group, which is a full service marketing, promotions, and advertising agency. We are a one stop shop for clients seeking exposure for their music, products, services, and/or events. We pride ourselves on building a connection with our clients and their projects. We have multiple relationships locally and abroad which leads to the support and overall success of our works and that of our clients! Operating since 2007, we have found a niche for a creative way if engaging a following and creating intrigue. Whether in music, or professional services, we can help create a plan and use our resources to execute. We offer Consultations, Business Development, Product Placement & Sampling, Full Marketing Campaigns, Street Team Promotions, Radio/TV Buys & Advertising, Print & Design, Interviews, & more. Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I have have numerous let downs and back stabbing moments being involved in the entertainment industry. I like to say that I am the “Light” in Dark corners, as to support the fact that there are many in my industry who. Prey on people and seek to take advantage of others. I represent the few that are giving, humble, & God fearing within this industry. I only want what’s for me, and I’m here to support others to achieve their goals. I have essentially accepted my God given talents and role as a “helper”. I pride myself on helping others achieve their goals while I achieve mine while supporting & creating opportunities. I have had numerous ex-partners try to take advantage of me and my team, I’ve had past employers try to hold me back because I was a threat to others, I’ve had people talk negative about me to others, I’ve witnessed countless thefts (money & ideas) and blatant disrespect, I’ve encountered violence and rough environments, I’ve witnessed endless verbal & physical abuse to others, & more. In all these encounters, I’ve always stood tall on what’s “right” and always acted as a mediator in most situations to resolve issues and wrong doing. Anytime I couldn’t positively affect change in a particular situation, I would always attempt to help. If I see that I can’t positively affect change in a situation, I immediately remove myself from the whole situation, as to not support anything I don’t totally believe in. I am a big supporter of doing right by people, and when my energy doesn’t align with another I have no problem removing myself from any position or attachments. I believe in karma and I believe that when you do good, good happens!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

What helped me build my reputation in the city if Charlotte NC and surrounding areas was my consistency. I am a very passionate & determined person, so when I get my mind set on something I won’t give up until I have accomplished it! I have always done things to the maximum. I won’t touch a project if I don’t feel a powerful energy about assisting the project. This usually helps when it comes to the success of that project, is my connection to it. Once I’m connected to what I’m doing, I can’t take my mind off of it. It becomes an obsession for me to figure out how to make a project successful for myself and/or my clients. Being consistent and dedicated to things is what set me aside from others. Another reason for my reputation in the market place, is that Most other similar service providers can’t offer all the services that I can because of my educational background warning two degrees (B.A. Arts, & Associates Degree Mass Comm), 20+ years of radio/ TV industry training, relationships locally and other, and additional complimenting services I’ve added to set myself aside from any competitors. I have been told that I have a great reputation for being an easy going, free spirited music industry professional who wants to help, and I am blessed to be seen in that light!
