Josh, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.

Sunrise Outfitting – Scenic Adventures provides top tier scenic, off-road tours of San Juan County, Utah, the home of the Bears Ears National Monument and many other amazing points of interest. A trend we often see in the side-by-side tour industry is a lack of personalization. Tour companies seem to focus on filling seats one seat at a time. It is our operation to focus on a very personalized experience for each and all of our clients. We are very family oriented and we focus on making the adventure enjoyable for each guest. Some of examples of this are the multiple opportunities we’ve had to provide adventures for those with special needs. Some of our more fun clients could have possibly never imagined being able to see the attractions and experience the thrills we have been able to show them. We’ve experienced autistic children screaming with delight as we experienced the thrill of side-by-side rides. We’ve also shared in the opportunity of helping a child with extreme M.S. be transported to some very remote and beautiful attractions. Outside of that, we are able to personalize and customize adventures for almost all requests. We can handle single clients all the way up to corporate retreats or large group rides. We can spend the whole day in a very personal ride along tour, or allow our clients to drive and experience the high adrenaline of driving the incredible off-road vehicles. It is these efforts that have made our business very successful. We have constant high ranking reviews and very positive reviews.

Sunrise Outfitting – Scenic Adventures is dedicated to assisting guests see attractions that they would never be able to see otherwise. We are located in San Juan County, Utah and in the heart of what’s known as the Golden Circle. We are within driving distance of hundreds of National Parks, National Monuments, State Parks, and additional points of interest. We provide top-tier side by side adventures to fantastic locations. Our guests can choose from ride along tours, U-drive tours, bring your own (side-by-side) tours, hiking tours, sunset rides, animal viewing, and customized tours to meet all our guests desires. There is so much to see and do in the area that spending time here un-guided wouldn’t reach the full potential of what there is to see and do. We help fill the gap to get our guests to places they would not otherwise be able to experience.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

The tourism sector has been growing so fast that there are gaps in the market and we are happy to help our clients experience the many things that are otherwise unattainable. From the moment we decided to add tourism to our portfolio, we focused on being known. We worked hard on inviting business owners, politicians, and social influencers to come spend time with us. We reached out to all other local businesses and networked in an effort collaboration. we built relationships with social media groups that were into similar pursuits. It was our focus to have our name in the biggest and most influential circles. It was a very successful campaign that has built a solid brand recognition.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

As a small business owner, one of the hardest transitions is taking the step of leaving a steady income to be able to pick up the hours necessary to make your personal business successful. In our journey, it has been a slow transition. Each year, I take on fewer and fewer hours for employers and focus more and more on providing for myself. At times, both sides of that coin have been very demanding and have required nearly full-time focus on both sides. However, as my business has continued to grow, I’ve been able to start enjoying much more flexibility with my time. I’ve been able to focus more on what I enjoy and also spend time supporting my kids in their activities. We still have a lot of growth before I will be set with my own business as my career, but it is a great opportunity to build an operation that can be looked up to in the community and provide future opportunities for my children.
