Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Josh Caudle. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Josh thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
When planting our church it was a huge risk and a big leap of faith. Anytime you do anything that requires any level of faith that is a risk, but if you are consistent and focused things can transpire. I started Fulfillment Church because of a vision and a passion to help others. We started during Covid, and we have been growing and building via social media and online. Taking the risk was worth it, because we collectively have done some really cool and awesome things.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started my journey to get to where I am today in 2008. I grew up not a believer or a traditional church goer, but my life changed one day when I opened up the bible for the first time when I was 20 years old. With many people who doubted and didn’t believe in me at that time. I had to stay focused and true to what I believed and the sense of purpose on my life. I planted a church in 2014 in Chapel Hill that grew in two years to around 75 people. I was young at that time, but learned how to deal with people of all ages and I learned how to be a leader. Fast forward to now, I’m the pastor of Fulfillment Church and I just want to keep going and building with like minded people.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I have made many mistakes. In life you live and you learn, but most importantly you grow. I had to learn how to be a good leader and make good choices. I had to stop putting pressure on myself and allow things in life to happen. Overthinking is something I had to unlearn, because it wasn’t helping me mentally or emotionally. My mental health is much better and is something we all must take care of.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Our church used to meet at NC State in downtown Raleigh before Covid happened. When Covid hit we had to pivot online and had to depend a lot on social media. I feel like things happen for a reason and I’m thankful we were able to keep going. The fact we have been able to grow online has been great! The goal is to keep going and to keep doing outreach projects such as donating clothing to the homeless.
