Josh, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
RBrand was born out of the need of truly unique products. There has been a shortage of quality and affordable products on the market, and we wanted to bring that to the every day man! We were tired of having products full of fillers that did nothing for skin and hair health, and we were tired of being given the choice between smelling like a high school locker room and smelling like a pine air freshener. We wanted masculine scents that guys would be proud to wear, while actually being healthy, and nutrient-rich! We didn’t want products that were full of water, silicones, and parabens. They’re all made with natural oils, butters, and waxes that are fantastic for your skin and hair. Started in 2022, we quickly realized that once people felt the difference in RBrand, they were loyal customers!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
When we were founded in 2022, we had a goal of not only quality men’s grooming products, but we also wanted to become a source for education, supporter’s of men’s health (physical and mental), and we were small-business oriented from the beginning. We believe that supporting each other is the best way to get ahead in business and life in general! I also believe that’s what sets us apart from everyone else. We WANT our friends and affiliates to succeed, instead of trying to “out-business” them!
We’re most proud of much of the feedback we get from everyday people, about how RBrand has helped out their skin and beards. From construction workers saving their beards from concrete, to those suffering from skin disorders, thankful to have natural healthy products that soothe their symptoms.
We’re also here to support Ohio area barbers, offering local products that are affordable and quality they can’t find anywhere else. We’re always expanding our offerings, and we look forward to servicing you!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
One thing that we thrive on is our honesty. We’re not here to make a quick buck at your expense, and we also know that mistakes can happen. I’ve been proud to take responsibility if there’s a shipping error, because it gives me a chance to really go above and beyond to fix it and push the boundaries of a professional relationship. We want to prove to you that small business can fulfill your needs, but on a more personal level than dealing with “the big guys”! We’re here to listen to your feedback, and provide you with service you can’t find anywhere else!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
When starting in this business, it was really easy to try and go after what was popular. However, we quickly realized that the “popular” route was all about copying what’s already out there. We quickly learned that creating our signature scents shouldn’t be what everyone else is doing, but that we should stick to what makes us unique! We’ve been told “I’d buy from you if you had this scent that this other guy has!”, and while we appreciate that, that’s not what we’re hear to do. It’s scary to tell customers “Sorry, but we’re not going to do that” at first, but it also gave us an opportunity to really push our own boundaries to create signature scents that people are surprised by! We’ve worked with affiliates and local businesses/artists to create one-of-a-kind fragrances that build new memories and emotions with our customers!
