My school and training experience has been a journey of discipline, balance, and purpose. Coming from a basketball background, I learned early on that dedication and consistency produce results whether it’s on the court, in the classroom, or in my professional career. That same mindset carried over into healthcare, where I’ve worked for over 18 years. It taught me not only the importance of precision and compassion but also how to stay calm and focused under pressure.

One moment that stands out to me was during my clinical rotations, where I was balancing 12-hour shifts while studying for my exams. It reminded me of double practices during high school, basketball season demanding, but rewarding. Those long nights helped me develop the endurance and mental toughness that I now apply to my work as a 4x Master Body Sculptor and back office clinician.

Pursuing my BSN is another extension of that lifelong commitment to growth. I’m passionate about helping people look and feel their best, whether through health, wellness, or aesthetic confidence. My experiences have shaped me into someone who believes that education, discipline, and passion can transform not just your career but your life.

My name is Josettè María, I’m a former basketball player, healthcare professional with over 18 years of healthcare experience, and the CEO and founder of Josettè María LLC, a multi-dimensional brand built on confidence, beauty, and wellness. My journey into entrepreneurship started from a passion for helping people feel good about themselves both inside and out.

After years in the healthcare field, I realized how many people were struggling with body confidence, self-esteem, and overall wellness. I wanted to bridge that gap combining health, beauty, and self-care into one powerful experience. That’s how Josettè María LLC was born.

My company offers a wide range of services and products, including non-invasive body sculpting and contouring, luxury hair installations and wigs, waist trainers, fitness apparel for men and women, and rejuvenating skin oils. I’m most proud of the impact I’ve made helping both men and women fall back in love with themselves watching clients transform physically while also gaining emotional strength and self-assurance is the most rewarding part of what I do.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start?

I started my business with nothing but a pen, paper, and a vision. I didn’t have investors or a large amount of savings just determination and a willingness to learn. I began by educating myself on how to build personal credit, which then led me to mastering business credit. That knowledge became my foundation.

From there, I started buying and selling real estate, using the profits to reinvest directly into my brand. Every move was strategic I turned lessons into leverage and small opportunities into stepping stones. That process not only funded my business but also taught me how to create sustainable growth without relying on outside funding.

My journey is proof that with faith, focus, and financial literacy, you can build something from nothing and turn your dreams into a thriving business.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been authentic marketing I am the brand. People see me first before they see the services or products I offer, so it’s important that I represent exactly what my brand stands for.

I focus on being genuine, consistent, and visible whether it’s through social media, community engagement, or simply showing up as my authentic self. My clients connect with the realness behind my work. They trust me because they see that I truly live the lifestyle my brand promotes confidence, wellness, and empowerment.
