Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Josephine Deyo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Josephine, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
When I was laid off, the fear hit hard—as a mom of young kids, the uncertainty was overwhelming. But that moment of loss became the turning point. I realized I could use my years of experience in project management and operations not just to support someone else’s dream, but to build something of my own. That’s how KE Process Solutions was born—out of resilience, purpose, and a desire to serve small businesses that support families and communities. Today, I help entrepreneurs untangle the chaos, create systems that actually work, and reclaim their time. This work isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about impact, legacy, and showing my children that strength looks like turning setbacks into meaningful new beginnings.

Josephine, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m the founder of KE Process Solutions, a business born from both necessity and purpose. I started my journey after being laid off from a traditional 9–5 role—a moment that shook me as a mother of young children. The fear was real, but so was my determination. I realized it was time to stop using my skills to build someone else’s vision and start creating something of my own—something that allowed me to be present for my kids and make a meaningful impact.
I come from a background in project management, Lean Six Sigma, and business operations, and I’m also a certified Online Business Manager. For years, I helped streamline and optimize systems behind the scenes, and when I decided to launch my own business, I chose to serve a community that reflects my own values: mission-driven businesses that support children, families, and communities. I understand the chaos of juggling it all because I live it too—and that’s exactly why I built a service that brings structure to that chaos.
Through KE Process Solutions, I offer workflow mapping, SOP creation, CRM setup, automation, and business system implementation. My approach is hands-on, strategic, and collaborative. I don’t just give clients a plan—I help them implement it so they can actually feel the relief of a smoother, more sustainable operation. Whether it’s a solo business owner buried in to-dos or a small team ready to scale, I help them get out of survival mode and into alignment with their goals.
What sets me apart is that I lead with empathy and execution. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions. I listen deeply, design systems that reflect the heart of the business, and guide each client through the process with clarity and care. I’m most proud when I see my clients reclaim their time, step back into their zone of genius, and grow without burnout.
At its core, KE Process Solutions is about creating space—for freedom, for family, for impact. And as I grow, my mission expands into the health and wellness space, where I can support organizations that care for others in deeply important ways. This isn’t just business for me—it’s personal. It’s about showing my children that resilience builds legacies and that meaningful work can rise from life’s hardest moments.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience didn’t stop being necessary once I became an entrepreneur—it just started showing up in new ways. These days, it looks like navigating client rejections, questioning whether I’m positioning myself clearly, and juggling the nonstop responsibilities of raising two toddlers while building a business from the ground up.
While my background in project management and operations prepared me to help others streamline their systems, I quickly realized I had to apply those same tools to my own life. I had to restructure my workflow—not just for productivity, but to protect my energy and be fully present with my kids and my clients. I’ve had to learn how to say no, how to rest, and how to show up confidently even when the results aren’t immediate.
There are hard days—days where I wonder if I’m doing enough, reaching the right people, or making the impact I set out to create. But every time I refine my message, follow up after a “no,” or carve out space in my calendar for family time without guilt, I remind myself: this is what resilience looks like now. It’s choosing to keep showing up, to trust the process I preach, and to believe that the systems I’m building—for myself and for others—will create something lasting. I’m not just building a business; I’m creating a life that aligns with my values, and setting the example for my children that purpose and persistence can coexist.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One major lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that “busyness equals success”. Coming from a background in project management, I was used to always being in motion—ticking off tasks, staying ahead of deadlines, juggling multiple responsibilities. So when I started my own business, I brought that same mindset with me. I felt like if I wasn’t constantly doing something, I wasn’t doing enough.
But the reality of being an entrepreneur and a mom to two toddlers quickly challenged that. I realized I was burning out—spending too much time “working” but not necessarily making real progress. I was always busy, but rarely balanced. That’s when I had to stop and restructure not just my business workflows, but my mindset. I had to learn that rest, clarity, and intentional action are just as important—if not more—than constantly being “on.”
At the same time, I had to let go of the idea that my life needed to look a certain way to be considered “successful.” Growing up, like many of us, I was taught that stability meant staying on the traditional path—a 9–5, a steady paycheck, doing what others expected. But after being laid off and stepping into entrepreneurship, I realized that I get to define what success looks like for me. And it doesn’t have to fit into someone else’s mold.
Now, I build systems that support sustainable growth, not hustle. I’ve created space in my schedule to be present for my kids and show up fully for my clients. I’m creating a life and business rooted in joy, alignment, and freedom—not just approval or appearances. Unlearning those two lessons—chronic busyness and inherited expectations—has been key to building something that’s both impactful and truly mine.
