Joseph , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
The defining moment in my career as a physician in regenerative medicine came unexpectedly, not in a breakthrough experiment or groundbreaking procedure, but in a moment of profound clarity. I began using Platelet Rich Plasma during some of my surgical cases. I began studying cellular regeneration mechanisms; I suddenly recognized that our most innovative techniques were essentially sophisticated mimicry of nature’s own processes. What we labeled as cutting-edge science was a humbling exercise in observing and replicating biological wisdom refined over millions of years of evolution. This realization transformed my approach to research and patient care. Instead of trying to outsmart nature, I began to see my role as a student carefully decoding and applying its intricate blueprints. This perspective shift improved my technical outcomes and deepened my reverence for the elegant systems we seek to restore. As time passed, I began lecturing to the medical field on cell therapies. A quote from one of my PowerPoint slides sums things up perfectly, “Cells, not doctors, heal patients.”

I’m a physician specializing in regenerative medicine with a career-long commitment to pioneering cutting-edge therapies. My journey began during my residency in orthopedic surgery, where I worked on innovative treatments for disc problems using Chymopapin and collagenase to relieve herniated discs non-surgically. After completing my residency, I positioned myself at the forefront of medical technology by becoming one of the first physicians to incorporate lasers into orthopedic surgical procedures for various conditions.
My path into regenerative medicine evolved naturally from this foundation of innovation. I initially began working with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy and quickly developed a passion for expanding the boundaries of regenerative knowledge and applications. As my expertise grew, I played an instrumental role in developing the EBO2 technique and enhancing it by incorporating PhotoBioModulation. Building on this success, I developed methods to photoactivate certain intravenous compounds, significantly increasing their therapeutic efficacy.
