We were lucky to catch up with Joseph Kuras recently and have shared our conversation below.
Joseph, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
Honestly, this is a daily thing. I’m not one to enjoy monotony…. Business phone calls, accounting, cleaning, going to several markets around town while sitting in seemingly endless traffic .. all before we even open. And did I mention I HATE shopping ? Lol And then to deal with the public right after can be such a drag, especially when their work day is done and they’re looking to throw a few back. But then I think of all the corporate shit restaurants out there feeding a constant stream of crap and paying their teenaged managers six figures and I know I’m in the right place, at least for now..

Tuning Fork is (proudly & sadly) one of the last independent live music gastropubs in town. Live music 7 days, organic farm to table food, craft beer, local wines. No corporate crap, no freezers. No shareholders to please either !
