Joseph, appreciate you joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I write every client that goes on a trip with me a hand written thank you note to let them know how much I appreciate their business.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a travel agent with Fantastic Memories Travel. I focus on leisure travel like cruises, all inclusives, sun and sand vacations, and more! We also have a specialty brand called Mouse Master Travel that specializes specifically on Disney destinations like Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruises, and more.
I got into the industry 4 years ago. I loved going to Disney World so much that I decided to put my love for Disney into a business and help other families plan magical vacations.
The most beneficial thing that I can provide for my clients is personalized planning that fits your specific needs. For example, with my clients going to Disney World, I collaborate with them on a daily itinerary that goes over park plans, dining, ride recommendations, and more! People do not understand how challenging planning a Disney World trip can be and my job is to make everything much less stressful.
I am here to help when problems arise. For example, a few years ago, I had to help clients modify their trip because of an impending hurricane coming to Florida. I was able to rebook them with a new vacation package for dates that were just a few weeks later.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I would say the biggest thing that has helped me build my reputation is relationships with clients and past clients giving me positive reviews on Google and Facebook. Also, word of mouth has helped me build a positive reputation. I love helping clients create magical experiences with their families.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I got started in the business in 2019. I had one year to build my business before COVID happened. During 2020, travel was completely nonexistent and I had to take that time to continue to learn new things in my Industry so I could be ready to hit the ground running when travel resumed. It was a very challenging time but each year since then, I have been able to grow and grow year over year. It shows resilience and ability to persevere in times of uncertainty.
