We recently connected with Joseph Bonner and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Joseph, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe too many people equate wealth with success. That is a common misconception. For example, ff wealth was an accurate measurement of success, the world would consider Hitler a successful person, however, no one in their right mind would suggest that. It goes to show that the true measurement of success is not the amount of money one possess. We as humans possess something far more valuable than money and it is how we use it is an indication of if our life can truly be considered successful. So what is more valuable than money? Time! Time is something that is constantly moving forward. Once it’s gone we can never get it back again. So a truly successful person in part is one who understands the value of time and uses theirs to love, support and encourage those around them to the best of their abilities. Since we all differ in circumstances and abilities, success may look different for each individual. I believe we should work hard at understanding our circumstances and using our ability to help others in one way or another. That to me is what it takes to be a true success. I suppose if the world adopted such a view, the world would be a much better place to live. So, I therefore urge all to inspire that change by give your all, forgiving yourself when you fail and never giving up in the pursuit of true success.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My story is lengthy so one thing I will say about myself is that like so many of you, I am human. I’ve experienced loss. I’ve grown from failure. I’ve loved and lost love. I’ve been a hero and a coward. I’ve been a success and a failure. I’ve been happy and sad. However, like so many of you, I’ve never given up. So, mine is a story of survival through the loss of both parents and a brother. It is a story of finding a way in life when all doors closed. It is a story of faith in my creator Jehovah God and my refusal to break integrity at all cost. I live this beautiful thing called life like all of you and even on my worst day I count it a blessing to wake up in my Creators presences and stay the course! So when people see the work I do in media, entertainment or human rights, they should know that I put my heart into my work and I am a champion of the truth at all cost to myself. When I’m called to defend a child, woman or man, I will rise to that challenge and use everything in my power to see to it that my goal is achieved. So when you hear the word Bully Avenger, Legend Magazine, Court Magazine, Women’s Well Being Magazine, Founder 100, Dr. Love Show, Joseph Bonner Show, JBN TV Network or any other brand I’ve created, just know that these brands are here as a public service to the community and that you can rest assure that I’m just getting started if it be my God’s will for me to remain a while longer here.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I always endeavor to work with those who are not held captive by ancestral prejudice and those who are not limited by arrogance and pride. Therefore, I would have to say that my internal vetting process is the best source for new clients. I only decide to work with individual and companies who I feel align with my core values as a brand. At times I walk away from major money because I don’t equate success with monetary wealth. I never have. There is no social media platform I can credit as a source of new clientele. Again, it is my internal process.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I am in constant contact with clients and schedule regular meetings to ensure that brand goals and core values are met. Although I value loyalty in business I don’t bank on it. That comes from abandonment issue growing up as a child. I will always give my best but never expect clients to stay based on loyalty. If they can find someone who can do what I do better and at a more cost effective price, go for it. Of course they can’t, but I won’t stop anyone from trying and there is never love lost should they decide to work with someone else.
