We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jose Patiño. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jose below.
Jose, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success to most people is measuring how much your company has grown, how much revenue you made compared to previous years, or even the equipment you now use compare to what you started off with.. I think to be successful you have to acknowledge the obstacles you had to jump over to get to the next level, to welcome the failure attempts and getting back out there and getting what you are looking for don’t let a simple fail attempt be the last go at it because for every successful story Is multiple failures behind it.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was always into photography since I was a kid, I remember my mom buying me a Kodak disposable camera and taking random pictures and having family pose. Once I was in high school I was in a photography class that helped me develop some skills that I use today. I have always enjoyed capturing the moment whether it be a family party, friends having a good time or when I do photo shoots for clients. I love telling a story and letting people remember that specific moment in time. As for what I offer is anything from family photos to landscapes to sports and marketing photos. I have tried a little bit of everything but right now marketing has been my favorite.
I take pride in the pictures I deliver to any client and I love hearing what ideas they have for their photography sessions to bring to life. The brainstorming process with the client is fun being able to bounce off ideas and see what we can create together so that it is captured. That is why I love capturing the moment to make the smiles last a life time.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal for me to keep moving forward is a promise that I made to my mom on being the best that I can be and to continue to grow and hopefully one day own my own studio in multiple states.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I have learned a lot from books that I have purchased and read multiple times and I also had learned a lot from most YouTube videos of certain photographers that I look up too and one day hope to meet them.
