We were lucky to catch up with Jose Luis Zepeda Jr recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jose Luis , thanks for joining us today. We believe kindness is contagious and so we’d love for you to share with us and our audience about the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?

The kindest thing anyone has done for me and my bussniess is having my clients speak highly of me and recommending me to all their family and friends . I have had clients that would even just send engorging messages and seeing how I was doing and how my bussniess was going . To me that shows that I know my buissness can be successful because I have clients that support me at 1000 percent .

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hi my name is Jose Luis Zepeda Jr . Proud owner of Louie’s Desserts and Cakes based in the beautiful City of Fontana California . Louie’s DC was born 9 years ago when I studied and graduated with 2 college degrees from the Art Institute of California . At Louie’s Desserts and Cakes we dont just provide quality and professionalism but we offer memories, smiles, and unforgettable bites of sweetness providing our clients events as special as they can be. I work with clients one on one to make sure their desserts and cakes are just as they imagine them to be with attention to every detail .

We provide a variety of cake flavors and designs to chose from . Our most popular cake flavors for example are the strawberry shortcake , banatella, churro, tres leches and lemon raspberry . The strawberry shortcake consist of fresh strawberries mixed in the cake batter then its filled with a strawberry Swiss meringue buttercream that taste just like ice cream and not as sweet.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

My audience on social media was built by creating TikTok videos and instagram reels while making my cake orders . It attracted many flowers and interactions which it eventually made one of my videos viral . My TikTok reached 6.2 million views and on Instagram it reached over a million views creating a lot of following and many orders . My advice is to not give up or be discouraged when you seem your work goes unnoticed because one day out of the blue , you could be blessed and doors of opportunities can knock on your door. It helped me reach contacts like influencers , Radio hosts, and celebrities which helped me promote my businesses and reach more clientele .

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The source of new clients for my bussniess apart from social media , has been mostly word of mouth . Til this day I have been blessed in only getting great reviews part taking in clients recommending me to family and friends .
