We were lucky to catch up with Jose J. Najar Olalde recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jose J., thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
It’s easier said than done. I am super blessed to have the ability and creative mind to help businesses grown through visual marketing. I learn something new about my field everyday. I picture my brand growing to other fields and expanding in the near future. Thanks to all my clientele that make this a reality.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve been viewing movies, music videos and television in general, through a different perspective ever since I could remember. If I think back, shows like “MTV’s Making the video” captivated my mind to wonder how productions happened behind the scenes. I would much rather enjoy directors cut versions of movies. As I grew older and attended Jr. High School I found myself in classes like, Film appreciation and theater arts, all the way through High School.
I attended The Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Austin Tx where I learned hands on about Television and Radio.
After graduating I worked as Head editor for M Productions, a local company in Austin Tx. After gaining mass knowledge about the industry, I ventured out independently and created Najar Media.
For 1o years I focused on helping independent music artist market themselves through music video production. I now find myself helping businesses grown through marketing content. I use unique story telling abilities to stand out and help my clients reach their crowd.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
No one will value you more than you value yourself.
This mentality has to be learned through trials and tribulations. There are too many instances where I have gone beyond to help a client and the same treatment was not reciprocated.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I am working to turn myself into a selling machine. I have been taking business and marketing classes through different agencies and outlets. This is fun for me, leads me to be sure of my growth.
