We recently connected with Jose Garzon and have shared our conversation below.
Jose, appreciate you joining us today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?
Being a business owner has Its ups and downs. I’ve been independent since I was very young. The stress, the long hours, the constant hustle to make it through another month. It’s all very intense but in the end is 10 times more rewarding than getting a check every Friday. Ps: I also never had a “regular job” or a 9-5 so to me there’s no difference. Getting a regular job has never been a thought in my head.
Jose, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Sure, My name is Jose Garzon and I’m a chef and entrepreneur residing in Seattle. I’ currently run 4 concepts;
Garzon • Latinx Street Food
EKEKO • Drinking Snacks
Chifa Baby!
Lola’s Supper Club
They’re all chef driven and seasonal menus. We offer an experience and menu no one in out market is offering by bringing unique menus.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Bringing a new and more personal experience to an area is always hard and long term work. From the beginning we hit the market running with social media ads and engagement. A clear concept really helped us do that.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Aside from real connection when we interact with them in person , we keep high engagement through social media and email.
