We recently connected with Jose Diaz and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jose, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Hello my name is Jose an at a young age i had to take a risk to change my life for my goals and where i want to be in my future of success with art. Taking the risk by asking gilbert high to be apart of their project, which opened many doors and gave me this great opportunity to gain knowledge and experience.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi my name is Jose Armando Diaz Jr i am 29 years old and i have a three year old daughter an I’m currently a tattoo artist an a multi mixed artist of many styles an currently enrolled at cypress college to get a major in art.
I have little school knowledge, self taught and the tattoo industry experience of traveling to many states an seeing art of all types an being able to connect with other artist an share our knowledge an connect in art. I myself take my tattooing as a business and career as well as a life stye to live it and breath it not just wear it. I was young when i set myself goals and discipline to get comfortable with change and taking risk to better myself, others and my art. I believe that i can bring a good impact to the program do to my diverse knowledge of life an experiences through my art and traveling and originality and discipline to follow traditional ways and rules with new flavor for this year and looking into 2025. I am a person and artist who will not only put more then effort but love into my projects using anything around me to get the task and projects done and at a reasonable time or deadline. With that being said i think i am a great problem solver or help to my clients and friends around me because i use my imagination and life experiences to create the best ideas an designs that others will love and connect with through their thoughts, likes and life experiences. I myself can say through my life with ink and paint i have been able to stand out because of my originality and simplicity and determination of creating clean and amazing artwork of all walks of life with sketching or recreating with consistency and discipline. I am most proud to say that i am still on the road to becoming a master of art one day that i promised myself even though art is never finished it is still important to put the time in and hard work, sweat and tears for the art and position. My brand is My Life With Ink and i believe in it and live by it as culture an I’m really excited for what’s to come next with my continual hard work an new knowledge of school and working with other companies an artist so thank you for noticing me and reading about me god bless!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
As a child at a young age being 4 i lost my father to gang violence at my house in a shooting that has driven anger an rage in my life and growing up i was able to reflect on it learn to cope with it in my art to create resilience and hunger as well as form an techniques to do better in life to never stop and to continue growing with the progress that I’m creating.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me to be an artist means a lot to me because it means I’m following my dreams an aiming to be successful and happy in life with my decision to create out of my imagination an experiences of life all in one and it takes hard work scarifying having fun to studying an working hard for success in life to show others its possible an there are ways of help its up to us to work hard for it if we truly want it. Being creative is an amazing tool in art to stand out and be successful with originality that others can connect with.
