Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Josclyn Craft. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Josclyn, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?
My husband is my hero, not just in the romantic sense, but in the truest definition of the word. Over the past seven years, I’ve fallen in love with so much more than just who he is to me; I’ve admired his relentless ambition, his vision for community, and his fearless creativity in branding and business. At only 20, he became a business owner, and ever since he’s shown me any dream can turn into reality. To me, he’s proof that leadership with heart can change lives & impact others and I’m truly lucky enough to witness it up close.

Josclyn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve been immersed in the coffee industry from a young age, starting out as a barista as a teenager and later learning the craft through cuppings, person training, and connecting with other passionate coffee professionals. My husband and I both fell in love with the science and artistry behind coffee, and together we envisioned helping create a space that felt both elevated and welcoming. Our goal was to bring the kind of specialty coffee you’d typically only find in a major city, or even abroad, to the suburbs, and we really wanted to do it the right way. I think what sets us apart is not just the quality of our coffee, but the community we’ve built around it. With the help of a lively, creative team, we’ve been able to craft a café that feels like a hallmark of our neighborhood: warm, inspiring, and deeply connected to the people we serve. I’m most proud that we’ve created more than a coffee shop we’ve helped create a space where people feel seen, welcomed, and part of something special.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Our best source of new clients has hands down been our marketing. One of the co-owners is a true creative genius with social media, his vision, editing, and ad strategy have put us on the map and connected us with people who might never have found us otherwise.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Yes! I’m an avid reader and truly the book Everybody, Always. by Bob Goff gave me such an incredible insight into just being kind and loving others. I looked at opportunities and business partners much differently after reading that book.
