Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jorge Martinez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jorge, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Back in 2015 I was at a safe, salary based corporate job within hospitality. I was told by my friends & family that it was a “good” job. I absolutely unequivocally hated this job with a passion.
Being diagnosed with ADHD, I had so much more potential to be great. I knew I was wasting it by not using my skills & gifts that I had but I was scared of being kicked out of my parents place again & cared what people thought.
Long story short- I quit, moved cities, lived alone in the mountains for a few months, went back to college, got my degree, built up a brand & now I have my own business. The higher the risk, the higher the reward. This risk was absolutely worth taking!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Jorge and my journey into the fitness industry was shaped by personal challenges and triumphs. I transitioned from a corporate job to an isolated mountain lifestyle, where I learned independence in health and well-being. This inspired my fitness journey, from a 1.6 GPA to a 3.74 GPA at UCF. I built Chaotic Training and specialize in helping those with neurodiverse conditions, low self-esteem, and anxiety. My unique background and experiences enable me to truly connect with and support my clients on their fitness and wellness journey. I’m most proud of the transformation I’ve undergone and the ability to guide others through similar paths towards a healthier, happier life.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Being personal & saying hi to everyone & anyone. Networking is very helpful. I also utilize my instagram & Google location in a condensed area
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Being consistent & absolutely never giving up. You’ll have your days you cry & are beaten down. Take a few days to recover. After that, back to working your ass off.
