We recently connected with Jordyn Lassaint and have shared our conversation below.
Jordyn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was moving from Houston to Atlanta with only $4,000 in my savings. At the time, I was at a crossroads in my life, feeling that I needed to make a bold move to create the life I envisioned for myself and my children. The decision didn’t come easily—it meant sacrificing time away from my kids, which was the hardest part. However, I knew in my heart that the opportunities I could create for us by stepping outside of my comfort zone were worth the temporary distance.
The backstory is rooted in my desire to provide not just financial stability but also a life full of possibilities for my children. Houston had been my home, but I felt stagnant, and Atlanta represented a city of growth, creativity, and opportunity—a place where I could chase my dreams, whether in entertainment or entrepreneurship.
I packed up everything I could, held onto that $4,000 tightly, and moved, knowing there were no guarantees. It was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. There were moments of doubt and fear, but I kept reminding myself of why I made the move—to build something greater for myself and my family.
Since taking that leap, my life has transformed in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I’ve grown personally and professionally, tapping into opportunities I wouldn’t have had if I had stayed in my comfort zone. It’s also shown me the value of perseverance and taking calculated risks. While I’m still on the journey of building the life I envision, that move was the catalyst for everything I’ve been able to achieve so far.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those who may not know me, my name is Jordyn, and my journey has been anything but conventional. I’ve always been a dreamer with a deep passion for storytelling, creativity, and making an impact. Over the years, I’ve found myself drawn to the world of entertainment, whether it’s through reality TV, podcasting, social media or creating meaningful connections with people. My craft is rooted in authenticity, sharing my life experiences, and inspiring others to pursue their own paths unapologetically.
I’m currently focused on podcasting, reality television, and exploring the broader entertainment industry. My goal is to create content and conversations that resonate with people on a personal level. Through my podcast, I aim to provide relatable and raw discussions on life, love, growth, and navigating challenges. What sets me apart is my willingness to be vulnerable and transparent—showing that it’s okay to be a work in progress while striving for success.
What I’m most proud of is the resilience I’ve developed along the way. From taking the leap to move cities with a vision of building a better life, to navigating the ups and downs of relationships and career transitions, I’ve learned to embrace every step of the journey. My story isn’t perfect, but it’s mine—and I hope it inspires others to chase their dreams, take risks, and find joy in the process.
For potential clients, followers, or fans, I want you to know that my work is rooted in my genuine desire to connect and create value. Whether it’s through a heartfelt conversation on my podcast or a project in entertainment, I’m here to bring authenticity, relatability, and inspiration to everything I do. My mantra is simple: patience, diligence, and intention. These guide me every day as I strive to create a life I’m proud of while helping others see the beauty in their own journey.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was letting my emotions drive my decisions, and instead, I’ve learned the power of intentional decision-making. For a long time, I let my feelings in the moment dictate my actions. Whether it was reacting out of frustration, acting on impulse, or making decisions based solely on how I felt at the time, I found myself in cycles that didn’t reflect the person I wanted to become.
The turning point came during some difficult moments in my personal relationships. I realized that emotional reactions were not only creating unnecessary conflict but also preventing me from growing. It became clear that I needed to approach life and challenges with more clarity and intentionality.
That’s when I discovered the power of decision-making—not just making choices, but making aligned choices. I started asking myself, “Is this decision rooted in my values, my goals, and what I want for my future, or is it just how I feel right now?” This shift allowed me to take back control of my life and move with purpose, rather than being pulled in every direction by fleeting emotions.
This lesson ties directly into the focus of my podcast, where I explore real-life challenges, personal growth, and navigating life with intention. I want to inspire others to take ownership of their decisions and embrace the process of learning and unlearning. It’s not about perfection—it’s about progress.
By sharing this journey through my podcast, I hope to create a space for honest conversations about how we can make better decisions, align with our purpose, and move through life with patience, diligence, and intention. The power of decision-making is something I continue to lean into, and it’s one of the most transformative lessons I’ve ever embraced.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
One thing I think non-creatives may struggle to understand about my journey is the transformation of who I was versus who I am becoming. I come from a background that many people might judge or misunderstand—being an OnlyFans model, a stripper, and a party girl. Those chapters of my life may seem worlds apart from the woman I am today: a high-value, God-fearing woman with a focus on purpose, personal growth, and building a meaningful legacy.
The challenge lies in the perception that who you were defines who you are. People sometimes struggle to see that growth is not only possible but necessary for everyone. My journey as a creative has been one of unlearning, healing, and stepping into the person I’ve always aspired to be. Every experience I’ve had, even the ones others might deem “controversial,” has shaped my perspective and strengthened my resilience. Those moments taught me lessons about humility, self-worth, and the power of reinvention.
What I hope to offer as insight is that transformation is deeply personal, and it doesn’t happen overnight. It takes intentionality, faith, and a willingness to embrace your past without being defined by it. For me, this journey has been about aligning my actions with my values and my faith, and using my creativity to inspire others to see their own potential for change.
For anyone who may struggle to reconcile my past with my present, I would say this: we all have chapters in our lives that serve a purpose, even if they don’t look the way we imagined. What matters most is how you turn the page and write the next chapter. My story is proof that no matter where you start, you can always choose to create a better ending. That’s a message I carry with me in my creative work and one I hope will resonate with others who may be looking for their own transformation.
