We were lucky to catch up with Jordan Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jordan, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
I strive for every customer feeling like their need is met. Understanding, communication, and executing the idea. I follow the model of Chick-fil-a. The attitude of servanthood that allows the job to get done. Letting go of convenience to serve the client is worth even when it’s uncomfortable. Putting yourself in danger in not what I mean lol. It’s more of the “going the extra mile” to make sure you do a great job that keeps them coming back.
Jordan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those that are new , my name is Jordan Williams. Born in Atlanta, GA and a true creative. I am a videographer and a content creator. I began first with content creation back in 2010 filming and posting dance videos and vlogs. In 2015, I began to take content creation more seriously. Thus having the opportunities to collaborate with brands (M&Ms, Old Spice, etc.) and various content creators like King Vader, Chaz Smith, etc. I’ve recently expanded my content to streaming via Twitch which I began in January of 2022. We just reached twitch affiliate in September! To say the least I’m really enjoying it !
My videography career began back in 2017 where I began interning as A Production Assistant for an Amphitheater. I filmed various concerts and events for acts such as Tyrese, John Legend, etc. In 2019 after I began my media company jwfilms.info. My company specializes in shooting music videos, weddings, and events. As of 2021, i’ve gotten the opportunity to shoot with the NBA G-League’s Birmingham Squadron basketball team and the Birmingham Bowl.
I am most proud of the fact that I am taking the risk for experience. I am also proud of that many of my clients constantly come back even though there are so many great options to choose from. I am proud of the consistency and dedication that many recognize. Also growing as a creator I am ultimately proud that I didn’t quit.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe my character and my skillset is what did.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Doing good work consistently. Word of mouth travels faster than any post on the internet. People tend to watch your work from afar without you even knowing it especially when you’re servicing one client continuously.
