We recently connected with Jordan Wentz and have shared our conversation below.
Jordan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
Despite having endured abuse, loss, and abandonment, and living with the mental, physical, and emotional trauma that clung to me no matter how hard I tried to rid myself of it, my will was strong.
At age 18, I found myself chasing my dream of being a professional dancer in the big city of Los Angeles because I was young and wanted to experience more of the world while pursuing something I loved dearly.
I had some initial success, yet with each starry-eyed day in L.A. my past increasingly caught up with me and grew to haunt me. The more I tried to ignore the issues — my issues — which I was too afraid to face, the more difficult and painful my life became, and the dimmer my light faded.
I partied harder before the legal age of 21 than I have in my entire adult life since, apparently in an effort to drown my feelings, rather than face them. I was self-sabotaging work opportunities because I didn’t think I’d actually get the part or that I was even “good” enough to do so. I had completely drained my bank account and had no clue how I was going to feed myself, nor pay my $1,000+ rent and utilities. Too devastated to be alone, I surrounded myself with relationships that were far from conducive to the type of environment and life I desired to create for myself.
After 3 years in Los Angeles, I was an empty shell of myself, wandering with no sense of purpose. I was completely lost and miserable. I knew I desperately needed help, but was too ashamed and embarrassed to ask for it. ‘If I can’t figure out how to live my own life, then what business do I have living it?’ I thought.
Where my self-respect and self-love lacked, my willpower compensated and instead of giving up, I talked myself into doing one last push.
I read all the self-help literature I could find and watched every life-coach pep-talk I could access. I tried all the meditations, yoga practices, and journaling exercises, and was constantly talking to myself trying to convince myself that I was strong, capable, beautiful, and worthy of a life I actually enjoyed living. Alas, nothing worked, which left me completely helpless and even more devastated. So I ponied up and decided that if no one else could help me, I’d have to help myself.
I didn’t have a clue where to start, until that night when the trajectory of my career and my life changed, forever.
I was feeling the weight of the world and my lack of achievement in all my endeavors.
A mixture of emotions including pain, confusion, disappointment, rage, fear, and utter emptiness filled me and the only thing I could do was the one thing I knew best: DANCE.
In that moment I danced in my living room, sobbing, and felt every feeling I had in its fullness. As I thrashed and flung myself around I felt everything moving through me and out of me. I visualized my emotional baggage flying off my fingertips and splatting on the walls. I witnessed my stress melt off me forming puddles on the floor.
I danced like I’d never danced before. It was as if it wasn’t even me dancing…though it was. It was ME in my fullness, and it felt absolutely freeing.
I became filled with light and a lightness that I’d never felt before. I sensed myself shifting, expanding, and ascending into greatness. I saw myself and my future and knew my worthiness with unwavering authenticity. I recognized my capacity to make it so with crystal clarity. I became excited and energized with a new-found willingness to get the EFF out of my way, already, and do what I was destined to do. And in that moment, I knew.
I knew the profoundness of my experience and I understood it was my duty to share this transformational process with as many people as possible.
I had experienced true movement medicine like never before, and it forever changed me.
I committed to myself and my dreams and no longer let fear run my life. I changed my attitude and witnessed the world around me react with opportunity and abundance. I was embodied in my truest self and began embodying my existence. And for the first time in my life, I truly loved myself. (That part still gets me and, yes, I’m crying as I write this.)
I believe that our biggest purpose in this life is to truly know ourselves, to fully love ourselves, and to share ourselves and our gifts with the rest of the world.
A major issue in our society is that people don’t really know themselves, and they don’t deeply love themselves, therefore they cannot genuinely and completely show up in the world as they would like to.
I had experienced, firsthand, how easily these things could be attained through a process that truly works and is actually fun.
After my pivotal experience, my mission became clear: to teach the power of movement as medicine and help as many people as I could find their freedom and lead their most embodied and fulfilled lives.
Thus, MyMovementality was born. As myself and the business have grown, so have my methods and scope of support. I now have students all over the world in over 20 different countries and have helped thousands of people ditch self-limitation and reach their biggest goals.
My journey with MyMovementality has been tremendously gratifying because I get to do meaningful work that lights me up every day and makes a real difference in the lives of others. Plus, we’re raising the vibe, raising the bar, and positively elevating the rest of the world.
It’s been a pleasure and an honor being part of such a paramount movement, but my work is far from finished.
If you desire more for yourself, I’m here for you. I’m here to guide you on a potent transformational journey unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Working with me is fun, it’s effective, and you’ll have my support all along the way.

I’m Jordan Wentz, leading confidence coach, abundance activator, and embodiment facilitator and I lead visionaries into badass success and fulfillment. But that wasn’t always the case…
My story took me from rock bottom to rockstar. At my lowest low, I hit a breaking point and immersed myself in what I knew best: dance, and in that moment, my life did a complete 180.
I finally felt peace, freedom, and fulfillment, and my purpose became clear: to spread my radical transformation with as many others as I could, so that they, too, could live their best lives, full of happiness, freedom, and self-actualization.
I grew up dancing, so it was a part of my life long before my professional career. However, it wasn’t until this critical turning point occurred that I connected with dance in an unprecedented way, leaving me with extraordinary inspiration and momentum in my own life, as well as the burning desire to share the limitless knowledge I had acquired with others.
As a result of this life altering experience, I ditched my trauma drama, kicked my fears to the curb, and stepped entirely into my power, and it felt fantastic!
I knew my worth, I believed in my abilities, and I commanded that my life be my story — one I got to write, rather than being a victim of my circumstances, like before.
Work, money, and love began to flow to me effortlessly and I experienced the joy, success, and abundance that I’d so desperately desired.
What was once my job of teaching dance lessons evolved into something so much more. I began effectively teaching people how to connect with themselves, to love themselves, and to believe in themselves, and as a result, they were achieving what they once thought to be impossible.
Since then, my business has expanded to helping thousands of people all over the world. Through numerous online programs, one-on-one coaching, workshops, other events, and free trainings like this one (https://www.mymovementality.com/sacredselflove), I provide a distinctive approach to self-improvement, as well as personal and professional advancement.
My methods work for people suffering from
– Low self-confidence
– Low self-image
– Stress
– Fatigue
– Anxiety
– Depression
– Overwhelm
– Body dysmorphia
– Obesity
– Physical immobility
– Stagnant lifestyle
– Intimacy issues
– Relationship issues
– Career uncertainty
– Lack of motivation
– Lack of momentum
– Lack of career advancement
– Financial scarcity
– Life purpose uncertainty
– Stuckness and more
I also work with many people who are already established and have done some on their own, but desire more for themselves and are interested in leveling up their lives.
My unique methods combine movement and mindset to guide my clients through the process of embodying their lives, unlocking their potential, and unleashing their power, allowing them to rise into their highest selves and live their most fulfilling lives.
In a nutshell, I help you ditch what daunts you and achieve your dreams through epic dance parties. (Yes, it’s as fun as it sounds, and proven to be effective.) I think that’s as unique as it gets!
But in order for it to work, it has to be unique. Because everything else has been tried. I myself dabbled in everything self-help, and when nothing worked, I had my own personal revelation. That is what I teach.
I stand for those who are ready for something different, something that actually works, and something that doesn’t suck to stick with.
Life is short, so we must make the most of it. That includes not doing things you don’t enjoy. That’s why my methods are as enjoyable as they are constructive. Plus, if I didn’t have fun doing this work, I wouldn’t want to do it either!
I am most proud of my discovery, because without my rock bottom breaking point and rebirth, who knows where I’d be today. Not to mention the countless others that I wouldn’t have been able to help in the capacity I am today.
I’m also incredibly proud of my clients, who continue to blow my mind on the daily. Every person is so strong, creative, intuitive, capable, and powerful, and when they tap into that, magic happens.
Since working with me, I’ve seen my clients heal their crumbling marriages, start and run the successful business of their dreams, and take ambitious leaps of faith every damn day because they know they are safe, they are supported, and they will fly because they are enough.
I work with those who are ready to take action and make a change to see a difference in their lives. I work with those who are ready to commit to themselves and their futures for a better quality of life for themselves and their loved ones. I work with those who are ready to stand up for themselves, take a stand for themselves, their worth, and what they deserve.
If this is you, all you have to do is claim it. Decide you’re IN, that you’re committed, and that you’re willing and open to receive the help that will get you there. Once you’ve made that decision, you’ve already done the hardest part.
If this is you, let’s chat about your goals and how I can help you get there. You’ll walk away from our call with potent advice to take immediate action, regardless of if you decide to work with me. I’ll be waiting for you on the other end with heartfelt support, practical strategy, and badass guidance. Speak with you soon! xo
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
The market is so saturated. Everyone wants to be a coach. Even I remember years ago when I rolled my eyes every time I heard the word “life coach”.
Here’s the deal…Not everyone is born a great mentor, though I do believe anyone can learn anything with practice.
I believe a great teacher must be able to effectively pass along their knowledge in a way that is practical, easy to understand, easy to implement, and easy to maintain.
I’ve participated in many coaching programs that fell short in a couple of those areas.
It’s not just about the immediate success of your clients, though that is great. It’s about the longevity of your teachings. What you’re helping your clients with should be scalable and ongoing, so that they continue to benefit from their investment indefinitely into their future.
It’s also crucial to stand out. With so many health, wellness, and life-improvement gurus out there, you must be authentic.
Connect deeply with yourself, find out who you are, and really let that person shine through your teaching and your brand.
Not everyone will love you. Who cares? The clients you want to work with are those that hear you speak and watch you work and know in their soul that they must work with you.
Lastly, remember to have fun.
If you’re not having fun, your clients won’t either. So keep it interesting, engage your clients, and make an effort to connect with each and every one of them on a personal level. This will make your work more enjoyable and meaningful. Your clients will feel that support, too.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
To me, everyday is a testament to my resilience.
The human mind is a powerful thing. It can be a wonderful one, and also a detrimental one if left unchecked.
Every day I experience some sort of fear, doubt, uncertainty, negativity, or most commonly, hesitation. I will not lie and sugar coat it like many coaches do. Life is not all rainbows and butterflies on this side, contrary to popular belief. This is human nature…or at least, it’s my nature (the overthinker, overachiever, overreator).
And though it sucks, these feelings come about because I’m taking chances. I’m seeking out risks that excite and inspire me and may better my future and that of others. That is vulnerability at its finest. It’s a scary place to be, but allowing yourself to be vulnerable is both necessary and valuable. It grounds you, reminds you who you are, and keeps you open to infinite possibilities.
I’m grateful for these feelings that come up because if they weren’t there, it would mean I’m not really going for it — that I’m not trying my best.
So, I thank those feelings for being there as a reminder, and I’m grateful for my ability to wake up every morning, feel the fear, dance it out, and continue on about building my empire rooted in love, empowerment, and ultimate up-leveling for all.
