We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jordan Panaiotov a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Jordan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?

Social media is very important – I manage all of our accounts and it’s one of the main reasons for our success. It is very important to have active social media and to be engaging in your content – there’s only one chance to make a good first impression! This is especially important if you’re smaller or just starting out with no advertising budget – it’s a way to show your products to potential customers and have a chance to convince them to try it.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m a Sommelier, my wife is a Chef. This, is hand crafted frozen custard. We created Perfect Pint with fine dining in mind – we don’t use any type of food dyes, emulsifiers, preservatives or artificial ingredients. Our milk and cream are sourced from an incredible local dairy, we cook lots of egg yolk into our hand crafted products. Each frozen custard is cooked in tiny 20 pint batches and then hand portioned into individual single serving cups. We primarily manufacture for Restaurants, Country Clubs and Luxury Hotels but have 2 of our own retail outlets, hopefully adding a third soon!

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

The story of Perfect Pint is a pivot! We started the business during peak covid January of 2021 – in our apartment, with an ice cream machine the size of a microwave! We sold ice cream anywhere we could – farmers markets, community events, at the park across the street – anywhere we could get a place to sell!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

We do not compromise on any aspect of quality – due to this, we got a notable account list of high profile luxury wholesale accounts. This further validated the brand, and created opportunities for retail.
