We were lucky to catch up with Jordan Lindholm recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jordan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you take vacations? Why or why not?
I would consider myself a workaholic, not that I consider what I do everyday work,I LOVE what I do and I am a very routine person that I rarely take vacations. I promised myself that in 2023 that I would make the time to travel more even if it’s just a weekend getaway with my dog Duke. I feel like vacation(s) will give me the opportunity to refill my cup so I can continue to show up for my clients and give them the best experience and version of myself !
Jordan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hello Everyone! My name is Jordan Amoroso, owner of J-Fit Solutions LLC. I have worked in the fitness industry since 2016 and have helped hundreds of men and women reach their fitness goals. My love for fitness started at a young age. Since I could walk, I was always part of some athletic arena, and within the last 5 years, I transitioned into bodybuilding. I competed in 3 National Shows, placing 5th at Junior USA’s and 6th at USA’s. My mother would always tell me that I would be a great fitness instructor with my charming personality and athletic history. In 2015 I became a member of Orangetheory Fitness and was immediately captivated by the atmosphere, music, the feeling of community, and the coaches’ high energy. In 2016 I left my job with the Department of Child Safety to pursue my dream of working within the fitness industry as an Orangetheory coach. For 5 years, I had the opportunity to provide members with the ultimate “Orange Experience.” After 5 years of running with Orangetheory, I focused on small group and one-on-one personal training with a new start-up company. I took a leap of faith in March 2020 in launching. There were some challenges along the way, but J Fit Solutions has grown more than I could ever imagine.
J Fit Solutions is a community where men and women can work towards one common goal- FITNESS! My clientele range from beginner level ( someone new to the gym), your everyday working mom, and current and former athletes! I am so proud surround by such an amazing group of people . Their love and support of not only J Fit but me as a person is such an amazing gift I’ve been blessed with . I don’t see these individuals as clients but FAMILY. And not a day in my life does this career feel like work !
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I personally believe an effective strategy for growing clientele are client referrals/word of mouth . If you give your clients a premium experience both inside and outside of the gym, they see results, and you have a great community , your business/brand will be something they talk about with friends and family . In turn, their friends and family will be want to be part of such an experience themselves !
Have you ever had to pivot?
Growing J Fit Solutions has not been an easy road. I first launched J Fit Solutions in March 2020, but of course, like many others in the fitness industry, my business was affected by COVID-19. I questioned if I could even build my training business at that point. I shifted my focus, and I acquired my training certification. During this time, I also provided outdoor workouts for clients and the community and launched an online 8-week fitness challenge. Once the fitness industry could start loosening its COVID restrictions, I wanted to get my feet wet again in training clients in person, and I took a Head Trainer position at an F45 in the West Valley. I started with online personal training in September 2021, then in March of this year (2022), I resumed in-person training, and the rest is history! This refueled my love for training people in person and lit the fire in me to relaunch J Fit Solutions.
