Jordan, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.

I grew up watching my mother own and operate her own business, and that inspired me to do the same, what my parents instilled in me was to be the best I can be and not settle for less, fun fact it was my mother’s idea for me to create a clothing brand for myself and she was my very first customer, I thank her every day for it. In the beginning, I just started off selling all types of clothes whether it was in person, via the internet, or shipping products, my mother saw how hard I was working for other brands and she said “imagine what you could be if you put that same drive into your own brand” and that’s when it hit me, in the beginning, it was tough because I didn’t know where to start, but I learned and gathered more knowledge and tools as I continued on my journey. My parents always challenged me to be the best me I can be, They always taught me the importance of keeping God in my life, always instilling in my morals, and being kind to others

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Jordan Hankins, I’m the CEO/Founder of Cheerful Citrus X Reborn Entity Clothing brand. I’ve always been into fashion especially in High School even though we were there to learn it always seemed like it was a fashion show, of who can dress the best or who has some nice sneakers on, back then I had thoughts of creating a clothing brand but I didn’t think it was possible for a kid like me until my mother told me to Go for it, “U have nothing to lose and everything to gain” – Michelle Emory. so I started it, I was 17 at the time, and I just did a lot of research and studied the greats before me in fashion. then I learned how to design on my own, my main purpose or goal was to stand out and not be like any other brand, I’ve always noticed some of the bigger brands only had 1 or a few designs I didn’t want to be that way, I wanted my customers and supporters to be motivated and inspired by my designs so I created multiple different designs for all walks of life. My creative process comes from my own experience and things that I see, I also design stuff just from simple conversations with people that I talk to, whether their family members, friends, or even strangers, I take what I learned from them and make a design out of it and turn it into something positive the people would like. I can’t really pinpoint what type of clothing I create because I’m always evolving and working on the next big thing but I can say I mainly focus on what the customers like, such as T-shirts, Hoodies, joggers/sweatpants. later on, I plan to work on all types of clothing. what I’m most proud of about my clothing brand is that I made it, sometimes I make it and promote and I get to see how many people actually enjoy what I’m creating, it’s a wonderful feeling knowing complete strangers like what I do, it motivates me to keep going. I don’t have many problems with my customer’s because my work speaks for itself it’s an outstanding product for a great price, that they love, the only problems I have with my brand are mainly behind-the-scenes stuff like which designs should I release next and picking and choosing for the audience I want to reach. I want my potential clients, follower, and fans to know what I’m doing is creating a space for creative art, and inspiring people that they can do it too, in any walk of life, I support you.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?

Many books changed my life first one I’ll like to mention is the bible, that one kind of speaks for itself… but books like “Think and Grow Rich” changed my perspective on how I look at life, it’s a great book I recommend to everyone, doesn’t matter what walk of life you come from there is some knowledge in there you can pick up on and apply to your life, and it’ll change your life immensely. my advice is to watch youtube videos of other successful people, it could be anybody or someone in the same career as you that you want to be like, study them, watch their interviews because success leaves clues, that’s what I do. my last piece of advice is to be around positive people who genuinely want to help you and see you succeed, have mentors that already achieved the Goal that you want to achieve because they been in your shoes they understand and if your eager to learn and have a positive mindset I guarantee you they’ll be willing to help and teach you. so always network with other people because you never know who u might meet every day they could be the ones to change your life from one simple conversation, so always be willing to listen and learn.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Being able to inspire people through my clothing, is a great feeling, and, I love that I found my passion is being able to create, and make whatever comes into my imagination, and turn it into a reality, and then seeing people support it and wear my clothing all seems so surreal, knowing I can make a difference even if it’s through clothing, but it can be anything, clothing isn’t the only outlet I plan to use to reach people to support and motivate people, this is just a source just to get me to my main purpose which is to give back and help others, that’s what I enjoy doing, seeing I can help another person, feels better than anything and with my clothing, I can make that dream, a reality.
