Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jordan Galbreth. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jordan, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
As a kid, I dove headfirst into the world of music, writing and recording my heart out! Looking back, I can’t help but wish I had harnessed the power of marketing my music at an earlier age and focused on ensuring top-notch quality. But hey, we all have to start somewhere, right? The journey of growth is all about trial and error!
One thing I’ve learned is that perfecting your delivery is absolutely essential. You can have the most incredible lyrics and stunning melodies, but if your vocal delivery isn’t on point, it’s tough for listeners to truly connect with it. I’ve faced challenges in mastering the art of vocal projection, but I’m determined to overcome that obstacle. The thrill of creating music that resonates with people is what keeps me going!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hey everyone! I’m JordanLivinGood, a rapper from Killeen, TX, based in Austin! My mission? To spread positivity and uplift spirits through my music! I want every person who hits play to feel that surge of motivation to chase their dreams and keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles. I’m beyond grateful for the incredible gift God has bestowed upon me to make a difference in people’s lives.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Being creative has its upsides and downsides. When you’re starting out, you want people to see your art, and it gets overlooked time and time again. You spend money and watch things fail. Being creative means, you have to love what you do to make it over the hurdle and not solely focus on trying to get the bag.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal is to help as many people as possible break away from depression and feel motivated to go after their goals and dreams.
