We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jordan Brown. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jordan below.
Jordan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I’ve always been the type of person who thrived on community and connection. In high school and college, I was part of nearly every social club and extracurricular activity I could join – I loved being active, involved, and surrounded by people. But after college, I moved from the Midwest to the East Coast for work, and for the first time in my life, I felt completely isolated. That transition forced me inward. I started spending hours at the library, exploring books on energy, mindset, and personal development.
During that time, I kept a blank journal and wrote on the first page: “This is the development of my years after college.” That journal became a safe space for me to process who I was becoming outside of the roles and routines I had always known.
Eventually, I followed my lifelong dream and moved to California. That’s where the pieces started to come together. I was journaling one day and realized how much cheerleading – something that had shaped so much of my life – connected to personal growth. The discipline, teamwork, energy, and mindset it teaches are life skills that go far beyond the mat.
That realization sparked the idea for my first book, A Mind of Cheer – a personal development guide designed to help cheerleaders transition from cheer life to real life. What started as pages in my journal turned into chapters, then a full book, and eventually a business that grew into Mindcheer, my personal development brand.
As I evolved, Mindcheer evolved with me – from a book into a movement that now includes wellness events, products, coaching, and community. Looking back, the most powerful part of execution was simply following what felt aligned, even when I didn’t know exactly where it would lead. Watching the world shift toward wellness and mindful living over the past seven years has been incredibly fulfilling – it feels like the culture has finally caught up to the dream I had all along.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Jordan Brown – the founder and creator of Mindcheer, a wellness and personal development brand designed to help people reconnect with joy, purpose, and possibility.
My background in cheerleading shaped everything about how I approach life – from confidence and teamwork to energy and mindset. But as I grew older, I realized that many of us lose that sense of spirit and self-belief once we step into adulthood. That realization sparked the creation of my first book, A Mind of Cheer, a personal development guide that helps individuals – especially cheerleaders and young women – build resilience, clarity, and confidence beyond performance.
What began as a book soon evolved into Mindcheer, a lifestyle brand that blends personal growth, wellness, and community. Through events, planners, and coaching, I create spaces that feel inspiring, cozy, and purposeful – where people can reflect, dream, and connect with themselves and others. Our pop-up events, like Dream + Connect, Crown Your Mind, and Matcha & Manifest, are designed to bring mindfulness, creativity, and visioning to life in beautiful, uplifting environments.
At its heart, Mindcheer is about cheering for your next chapter – encouraging people to approach growth with curiosity, not pressure. What sets us apart is how we merge mindful living with aesthetic experiences, helping people design lives that feel aligned and joyful.
What I’m most proud of is seeing people leave our events or open their planners feeling inspired, grounded, and hopeful again. Mindcheer is more than a brand – it’s a movement toward intentional, joyful living, and I’m honored to help people believe in their dreams again.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining seasons of my life – and my business – was when I was pivoting Mindcheer into what it is today. I had just transitioned from writing A Mind of Cheer into creating the Mindcheer Planner and launching my Shopify store, and at the same time, I was navigating one of the hardest experiences of my life – losing my mom to a traumatic brain injury.
During that time, I poured my energy into creating as a way to heal. I started writing my children’s book, Elly the Deer Loves to Cheer, as a love letter to hope – something gentle and uplifting that reminded me that joy could still exist even in the midst of pain. Every word I wrote and every page my illustrator designed became part of my healing process.
When it came time to launch both the Mindcheer Planner and Elly the Deer, it was overwhelming in every sense – emotionally, mentally, and physically. But looking back, that season taught me what resilience truly means. It’s not about pushing through perfectly; it’s about allowing your heart to keep creating light even when it’s breaking.
Launching those projects in the middle of grief showed me that purpose can coexist with pain – and that sometimes, our most meaningful creations are born from the hardest chapters. Mindcheer became more than just a brand to me; it became a reflection of how we can transform loss into light, and how the human spirit always finds a way to keep cheering forward.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think what’s helped me build my reputation most is staying authentic to my purpose and my energy. From the very beginning, I wanted Mindcheer to feel like a movement – not just a brand. Every product, event, and post I create comes from a genuine place of wanting to help people reconnect with joy, confidence, and self-belief.
I don’t chase trends or try to look like anyone else. Instead, I focus on creating spaces and experiences that feel heartfelt, intentional, and beautiful. Whether it’s a planner, a workshop, or a vision-boarding event, I make sure everything reflects the same core message: “Rooting for your dreams.”
People can feel when something is made with real care and meaning, and I think that’s what has built trust and recognition around Mindcheer. It’s not about being perfect – it’s about being real, uplifting, and consistent.
Over the years, I’ve found that the best “marketing” isn’t strategy – it’s connection. The community that’s formed around Mindcheer has grown because people see themselves in the message. They come for the aesthetic, but they stay for the feeling – that sense of lightness, clarity, and possibility that Mindcheer represents. That alignment between purpose and presence – staying true to what I believe in – is what’s helped build my reputation and keep it rooted in something real.
