We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jordan Benton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jordan below.
Alright, Jordan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?
My hero would be my dad & grandpa. They are my hero because I never seen them give up. I always see them get up and go make some money on their own time because they are entrepreneurs. I knew I wanted to be my own boss at an early age because I seen my dad and grandpa do it everyday, and still do. I have learned many lessons from both of them but my biggest lesson I learned from them was consistency. Always stay consistent because slow money is better than no money. The hustle has to be in you , the drive has to be in you, and you have to be ready to put in hard work and dedication. Never give up and never beg your family and “friends” to support you.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a weave colorist and weave supplier located in the Metro Atlanta area. I got into this business at a early age of my life but I officially started it in 2019. I started off just making wigs and coloring wigs, but over the years Im strictly providing wigs/ bundles and coloring them. My styles and creativity sets me apart from other business owners. I do not follow trends I do my own which catches the eyes of future customers. Im proud of me but I always feel the need to come harder because I know I am great at what I do, and I provide excellent quality hair and service.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I am a Clark Atlanta University Alumna business marketing major. With the skills I have learned social media plays a MAJOR part in marketing and advertising. I built my audience on social media by consistently promoting on all my social media main pages, joining engagement groups and paid promotion. I also pass out my business cards everywhere I go and airdrop them when I’m out. I also go hand and hand with my hairstylist who promotes me as well. That is how my audience came along to my social media and my business. My advice will be never stop promoting, I promote 5x a day.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with my clients by email marketing. I send our monthly news , sales, and customer loyalty coupons. I want them to be the first to know everything ! I also want them to leave surveys
