Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Joonie B. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Joonie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
On August first I released my EP “Ironwood Springs.” The project shares a name with a christian camp I attended as a child. I wanted to make a piece of work that conveyed summer. Not the typical summer depiction but the true season in all of its duality. There is a whole spectrum of feelings you can experience from basking in the sun to feeling isolated and alone.

Joonie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Joonie B, a recording artist and producer in Los Angeles. I have been making music for the last 15 years making everything from to indie to dnb & garage.
I’m the type of producer that helps artists craft the sound and energy for their complete album. Focusing on the artistry not todays obsession with with being perceived as an artist.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I think the most rewarding part of being a creative is knowing my purpose, what I’m meant to do. As much of a struggle as it to live as artist that is something that always keeps things in perspective.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
As a artist and producer I had to stop making beats for other artists that were a replica of their style./what I thought they wanted I realized the reason people come to me is my style and sound.
