Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jonathan Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jonathan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The story behind my mission comes from my passion for life itself. There are a lot of things that people in life don’t see a bigger picture of. When I try my best to see the light in the world and through the people that I interact with. I always been a pretty positive person and I want to spread that through the art of photography. I do this specific realm of art based off of the fact that I get to see people genuinely smile and be in love with their natural self while having fun taking pictures. Yes everyone can take a picture but not everyone has the eye that I have. That is why I am going through a slight rebrand and naming myself the “Young Visionary”. I am basing everything off of this slogan ‘A Perception Of Your Reality” because I see things differently through others. I want people to believe in their own beauty and expressing their light and love.

Jonathan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Jonathan Williams and I got into this industry through my passion of art. I’ve always taken art classes in high school but never thought about using a camera until a few years later. I like to draw on my free time and have always had a passion for using my eye to create something. So I eventually was gifted a camera for Christmas and ran with it. I didn’t have much practice with it since I was leaving for the Air Force that same year. When I got back from the military 2020 Covid hit heavy so it was even harder to really do anything. December 2020 I took it seriously and have been consistent ever since, staying up late and studying the craft so I can perfect it. What I think sets me apart from others is seeing how far I can go with the camera and also having a serious ambition towards this lifestyle to make myself better in every way that I can. I am most proud of being able create a lifestyle for myself and putting smiles on people’s faces that’s really it. I am spreading a light around the world and that is what I feel God has made my purpose in life. What I want potential followers to know about me is that my work is authentic. Looking at my work I can’t complain about what I produce because I have confidence in my work and what it can inspire in others.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A story in my life that illustrates resilience would be my few months in basic training. I got time to be away from my hometown, my family, and friends. Being away from everything in the outside world while meeting others from different backgrounds, different stories, different purposes in life. Having to go through that without knowing what’s going on back home not knowing if I could lose a family member while I was gone. I knew the sacrifices that I would be making especially if I were to graduate and do the time I signed up for. I did end up getting injured but I pushed through as best as I can. I left with a quote that stuck with me forever and used this quote to create my clothing brand “Hidden Gem Society” the quote is “Perfect Diamonds are formed by Intense Pressure” that quote will forever be apart of my life because it proves to me that everyone can go through the hardest times in their life and still come out shining bright. I am a firm believer in God so everything that happens in life is for a reason. When it gets dark there is light at the end of it so why would I stop what I am doing when it gets dark knowing that the light will never go away.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
This one is pretty simple. I got aggressive with my work when I started my photography page back in 2020 I maybe had 200-300 followers now I’m sitting at about 1600 followers. The way I did it was I got aggressive with my posts I didn’t care if I got on peoples nerves I dropped content after content. I shared my posts with multiple people and made sure that they reposted and shared it with their followers. I kept that pace and will continue to do that until I am where I believe I should be in this journey.
