Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jonathan Pajak. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jonathan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, let’s start with a hypothetical – what would you change about the educational system?
I chose this response because I find myself constantly discussing this topic with other individuals on a weekly basis. Our educational system in my opinion has truly failed us on so many avenues, some examples include; not teaching the youth proper financial literacy, rushing the youth into career paths, not educating the youth on mental stability and health, pushing the youth away from trade specific jobs, pushing the youth towards college because its the “right way”. There are many area that need improvement, the few I stated are some important ones but are often over looked.
Jonathan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into this industry by accident! At first it was for fun taking photographs and making videos of my travels, then I captured my first wedding and fell in love with it. I currently hated working my cooperate job that had very little growth opportunity and thought i was wasting my time. I decided to go full into trying to make my side hustle a career. I begin to see success when I implemented the knowledge from my business degree with the constant re-investing money back into my business and slowly growing it to what it is today.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I understood the importance on outsourcing certain aspects of my business that I lacked knowledge in or experience in. For a long time i wanted to do everything myself, but i found that I was held back when trying to complete things that I was not good at. For example website building, I did not enjoy trying to build my own website and nor was I good at it. When i started to outsource these areas I started to see major growth in my business.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I have always went above and beyond for relationships within my industry. Could be with other vendors or wedding venues, I always go above and beyond to curate relationships with good people.
