Jonathan , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

When I perform at very first showcase and it was sold out…. I was doing jokes about being a single father and raising a daughter that comes with a lot of problems and barely with solutions so keep me in your prayers 😂 but after the show an lot of single mothers came up to me and hug me and gave me wisdom and advice about raising an daughter

Jonathan , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I got my start from the people around me who would always tell me that I’m funny at my old job…. They wanted to me work 7 days a week and that’s how funny I was to them and they me there to make the day go by. So I took a shot at stand up and I put my first show together and the way the people responded and laugh I knew right then this was my calling but at the same time being a comedian ain’t for the Weak because you gotta push everything that your going through to the side to make people laugh every night. But I’ve been in the game for 5 years and it’s my honesty and relatable jokes about being a single father that draw people in at my shows and I want all my jokes to be relatable and real so when I get off stage I hope you was able to laugh and heal even if it was just for a moment

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Yes my daughter because I want her to have a better life than me and I also want her to have the strength to laugh at the times that are dark in our lives. Then seeing my life transition is another driving goal for me like did you know the more funnier I became the women who were out of my league are starting to come back and tell me how fine I am 🤣

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

SUPPORT mainly and it always doesn’t have to be money. Sometimes we just need your love and feedback about something’s that can help further our careers. React and comment and share our posts on all social media which helps spread the word about us artist and our work gets shown to more people than just our own cities
