Alright, Jonathan Douglas thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
Yes!. I can’t thinking my life without being an artists and making music. For me the Music is my passion, my life, my everything. Without my music career life will not have sense at all. Is the way I’am, the way I breath. Sometimes I wonder how will be my life as a regular job and definitely will not me!. When I was young, I was so creative, I draw a lot and when I grow up I start to create mixes, edits, remixes, and I know that music will be my full time job and I worked so hard to happened (I’m still working on that).

Jonathan Douglas, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I enter to the Music Industry in the beginning as a hobby, I start creating mixes and remixes with my computer around 2000 and everything start like a hobby a game you know, I spent a lot of time behind the keyboards learning and playing, creating new sound, etc. I think I start to taking more seriously in 2006 but was in 2007 and 2008 when I have my first International Gigs (Playing at Bolivia and Mexico) that I take more seriously my Music Dj Career. In the beginning of my career I started making Techno and Minimal Techno music, also experimental music. But in 2016 I started to change my sound for Tech-House and House till end of 2018 that I signed my first Nu-Disco EP with the legendary Midnight Riot label from UK, that release has a lot of support from Djs, radios and people around the glob and I have the full release on TOP100 Chart from Stores like Traxsource, Beatport and Junodownload, I really had the attention on the industry and was that moment that I know that my future will be in that kind of genre: Nu-Disco.
In 2018 with the Marshall Jefferson`s label: Freakin909, also working with labels such as Soulstar Records, Masterworks Music, Sakura Music, Tropical Velvet, No logik Records, Emi Music, Sleagy G , Prison Entertainment and sign with the most important Record and Re-edits music label of the last 10 years: Midnight Riot from the UK. In this 2020 he has signed with the big labels as: Tropical Disco Records (Sartorial & Moodena label), Salted Music (Miguel Migs label) and Re-Loved (Seamus Haji label).
In the pandemic in 2020 I started to do a lot of reworks and remixes of classic songs from the 70s and 80s such as: “The Billy Of Queens” rework of Billy Ocean, “Like A Virgin” from Madonna, Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson and also for make new covers of classic hits like “Born To Be Alive” with Netherlands singer Dennis Jones and “Voulez-Vous” with Venessa Jackson.
I did Official remixes for artists like:
Donna Summer, Depeche Mode, Michael Gray (Full Intention), Luv’, Precious Wilson (Eruption), Litz Mitchell (Boney M), D.C. LaRue, AKA AKA and many more.
Between 2020 and 2021 I produce 5 Official remixes for the new album of Donna Summer “I’m A Rainbow – Recovered and Recolored” released by Demon Music on Double Vinyl, Simple Vinyl, CD Box and digital.
Right now, my music is supported by great artists such as:
Horse Meat Disco, Dr. Packer, Late Nite Tuff Guy (LNTG), Mark Doyle (Hed Kandi), Blessed Madonna, Mark Lower, John Morales, Claptone, Babert, Yam Who?, Kort, Moodena and many more… from the Music Industry
I had played at great festivals such as: Bournemouth Air Festival Fireworks Fiesta! 2022 (UK), Orgullo BA 2022 (Argentina), Buenos Aires Gay Pride 2017 (Argentina) for more than 100,000 people, Ciudad Festival Emergente Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Máncora Festival in Peru (2013).
I’m very proud of my sound and my style making remixes and reworks. I love to play with vocals and create amazing hypnotic baselines

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Definitely make people happy and that they enjoy and dance my music, definitely. When I play and I see people dancing , singing and then came to me and thank me for the amazing night and music, it’s just pure happiness . The same happened me when I need to do a remix for an artists or label and they give me they feedback with a BIG thanks. I can’t describe in words how happy make me that.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Music itself inspired my for my creative journey. Listen old music (classic hits and undergournds tracks) and new music from new artists or artista I admired always inspired me to make music. But I make music because is my way to express my self is my ground wire.
