We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jonathan Bradley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jonathan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

Over the years I have worked many retail and restaurant jobs while studying, practicing and performing my artistic passions. One of the biggest risks I’ve taken in my life was letting go of my day jobs, investing in myself and most importantly, trusting the process of entrepreneurship. Being my own boss, allows me to run my business how I want, work from home and help my wife Lauren raise our three children. My family is my inspiration and motivation so everyday is confirmation that I made the right choice. It’s nice to watch my kids grow along with my business.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a artistic expressionist who specializes in creating energy charged abstract paintings. I am inspired by my beautiful family and the infinite blessings of life. I love to explore and teach the healing properties and characteristics of colors. I am experienced in various styles of art but once I broke down the mental walls of rules and technicalities, abstract expressionism embraced me. I mainly use acrylic paints, brushes and palette knives for my masterpieces but I’ve been known to mix mediums and experiment with different tools. One of the perks of being a collector of my works is the fact that I don’t do prints so everyone gets a unique original painting. None of my clients have the exact same masterpiece. I love taking on new commissions because I get to brainstorm with my clients to ensure their satisfaction. So contact me and let’s build on a masterpiece!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The freedom to express our perception of life unapologetically.
